I''d found a minimal skeleton / rig free on SCG, but didn''t notice it was a Carrara file which, to best of my knowledge, nothing else will read.
Some .CAR files may unzip to plain-text, but structure seems proprietary...
Happens I had Carrara 8.5, free as part of a big D*z bundle. (NOT free now !!)
So, I installed that and opened the file. Yes, Carrara will export as OBJ/MTL, but will also export rigged FBX. To my surprise, Carrara (x86) is old enough to offer FBX options of v6.1 + v7.1. And, yes, my PoserPro 11.3 likes v6.
Imported at 50%~~70% of original scale, the main rig stayed intact. I just had to parent the straying eye-balls to the head, after which the figure could be posed within fair limits.
The figure came ''zoned'' for simple, solid textures, looked a slick android. I found a pleasing fur texture plus bump-map in ktaylor''s free Tribble on R**y. Dialled to displacement 0.25, with sufficient range ''allowed'' in figure properties and well lit, these rendered nimbly in Superfly at 34 pixel samples, progressive, 128 vol-bounces, 1024 bucket and both GPU cards.
