It is a dozen MB OBJ, with a 100 KB MTL and *hundreds* of texture calls to the many nice textures supplied as DDS.

Poser refused to load these textures, claiming ''something is wrong''. A generic report, like getting ''Syntax Error'' in Z80/6502 era, and as helpful.

I chose the wrong work-around route, with issues described below.

Initially, model will be invisible, as MTL ''d'' all set to zero. Need ~1 for visible.
I made a safety copy of both OBJ +MTL, used Wordpad to edit them.

To protect eg MTL''s Kd 0.64, I searched / replaced d 0.00 with d 1.00

Also, I edited all OBJ+MTL dds references to jpg.
Don''t do *that*, instead edit to png as explained below...

Import at 100% full-scale, then locally Scale ~40% so figures look okay.
yRotate 90º as arrives on side with vast sky-dome & backdrop
yTrans ~975 to bring into frame
xTran -60, zTran -50 to centre this well-square

I made mistake of batch-porting DDS to JPG using free Irfan View, then manually extracting DDS to PNG, then to Alpha mask as JPG.
Don''t do that. Instead, go directly to PNG, as easier to export Alpha channels to use as transparency maps.

There are *many* masked textures painted onto flats. I''m still finding them. Also, some are not meant to be fully masked, just ''textured''. Also, in places, masked ''flats'' over-lay each other, complicating preview appearance...

The small, black diamonds are not flaws in model, more like ''handles'' for game FX. I''m still working on using / hiding them. Poser''s ''select'' tool seems remarkably reluctant to grab them, YMMV. There may be a simple way...

Scene needed a *lot* of light plus several quickie test-renders to check shadows etc. Camera focal length = 12 mm. This 1520x570 rendered using Superfly, 96 pixel-samples, 64 vol-bounces & buckets on my networked ''Box'' in ~2¼ hours.

I''m going to explore model, then ''do it over'' via PNG route, while fixing my growing list of ''gotchas''.

Can't tell where everybody is. JanReinar and Chromium haven't been on for quite some time, and the newer users like rico seem to have lost their interest, too. Let's hope they're fine. Life can get rather challenging in this madhouse we're living in.
Nice render of a complex scene, btw.
