Actually, never had a credit card (don't believe in 'em) and never been in debt.
I
was thinking about buying a house (never owned one of them either which explains the preceding sentence), but since parents were able to go out and buy their dream 7 hectare lifestyle block on Tuesday, they are signing the family home over to me for a ridiculosly small sum.
As for the new computer.... hmmmmm. The list I was pricing yesterday goes sometning like this:
Something with
serious grunt for my main CGI stuff. Quad-core and the rest of it... I'm custom-building that one by hand. (I'm taking my opportunity to enjoy playing with CGI!)
A high-end name-brand PC for net access and gaming. Maybe something alone the lines of AlienWare, maybe not. (As long as it can play the PC version of GTA IV without raising a sweat, I'll be happy.)
Four smaller PCs networked to make up a render farm. (Did I mention how much I like the idea of playing around with CGI?)
A top-notch new laptop for my sister. (I'll use her old one as it's still in good nick).
And because I really like the idea of owning an iPod Touch, but loathe the idea of letting iTunes anywhere near my Windows computers, I'm buying a 24" iMac... (now
THAT is excessive consumption!)
Best of all, I'm able to get all my software upgraded to the latest versions. Heck, I might even be able to go to
Poser Pro.
