Ok! I need a separate picture for each letter, like a.gif, b.gif. However thank you for the links Thilda <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/lol.gif" alt="" /> I'm going to lurk there ans plunder. Actually I uploaded another format in .png instead of gif but in i.e. it doesn't show the transparency...

Well, BTW, On Opera you can disable gif animation by the menu you get hitting "F12" if this gets too funky <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have a plugin for firefox called anidisable. I am not sure how it works but it can make it so that the animations only run once. I like the letters once I figured out what they were for.
