Well, Tormentor, it looks like we were both right. I won't be able to complete another image, but I have posted one any way. The reason for doing that is included in a comment to that picture.

Pangor

LOL ! I'll see the comment. I felt a little bad during the weekend but nothing serious. I was unable to complete the picture, but I'm doing it. I'll finish it (probably) tonight when I'll be back from work ...

Here is a little preview of the work in progress...

I hope you are feeling better.

I was thinking of an advertising slogan for wine. It was a key part of a series of advertisements "staring" Orson Wells (circa 1970-1980): "Serve no wine until it is time.". In some ways art is like wine. In the case of what we do, we can say, "Show no art, until it is ready".

For example:

I have a few scenes that I have started but have put on hold for a while, for various reasons. At the same time, the one I am working on now is one that I was thinking of for a little while already. When you announced this exhibition I put the one I was working on on hold and began the ones that I have already posted. Now the one that I am working on is beginning to come together. This one is a bit more tricky to get right than the others that I posted for the exhibition have been. This one requires four characters and perhaps some body parts of other characters too. It also need a little modeling and some custom one use only body textures. I have selected the models to use for three of the main characters, a P4NM, Eve, and my Regina character. Selection of the fourth main character has been more of a problem, I need one who has a fully developed body and cute, innocent, girlish face with a mischievous overtone to a happy expression. For this last character, I have tried some of Yamato's character to starting points for the character, their bodies work out fine after moving some morphs from Betty into them, the faces are close, but so far I have not been able to say, "THERE! THAT IS THE LOOK!".

Once that work is ready, then I will post it, I just hope it won't take until next Valentine's Day to be ready.

Pangor

I do not have any feelings as such. How do I know that you were really "thinking"? Oh I get it. Very interesting. That was a long time ago. Perhaps. The same time the one he or she is working on now is one that he or she was thinking of for a little while is where it's at. Why now? I think I know that one. Yes it is one of the LOOK.

That is already understood. Besides, Posy would not be right for the part, she looks too sophisticated and dignified for the part.

Pangor

Well, Posy, let us see who else is not right for the part. Regina is wrong for the part and besides she alreay has another part. Since Regina is not right for the part, neither is Betty. Aiko and Sara are not right, they are too cartoonish. V3 is not right without morphs she is just too unflexible. HER is most certainly wrong for the part. I am still testing some other models and morphs.

Pangor

Ahjah, I tried both of them. They are both very good and very close to what I was looking for. I found a match for what I was looking for, by blending 40% Johanna with 50% Posette and 10% Regina a few adjustments made with soem of Regina's morphs, finished off the look.

Thank you very much Ahjah.

Pangor

Post subject: Re: Valentine's day 2005 exhibition !
These girls are three of the characters that have been developing for my current WIP that I have mentioned since the last picture that I posted into album.

All three were created from Regina, my remaped version of my Betty character. While the other two were dirieved from Regina alone, the girl on the left is the one that is a blending of Ahjah' Johanna, my Regina and the standard Posette. Thank's Ahjah.

I need to fine tune the texture a little more for the girl on the right. Work on one more character, make a few models and their textures, then it will finally be time to work on the setting for the scene.

I find it funny that while in the planning stage, I had considered using several other models, some using posette derived meshes and other using other meshes. Then as I started creating the characters I ended up rejecting each of them in turn and in the end, they all were derived from Posette based characters.

Why do so many of those out there in Poser land fail to consider using posette in their works?

Pangor

This is what I think they are doing too. What I don't understand though is that since if they have Poser 4 or latter they already have her available, so why don't they take advantage her. Perhaps it is just a different mindset; but, it just does not seem reasonable to me.

Pangor

Well, it looks like the picture is going to take a little longer than I thought. I have taken some liberities with the design, so that I could make it with the skills and resources that I had availble. Now with the reconfiguration that I just did, I have some additional resources available, so I am trying some new methods and testing the additional resources. So this picture is becoming another learning experience.

Pangor
