Thank you, Anouk.

This avatar is in fact my original one that I have been using at all sites that support avatars. At Tapestry of Dreams there was a member challenge in which members who participated were given the assignement to create and avatar and sig line for use by another member. The recipient would then be required to use that avatar for at least one month at that site. Mattham was the who made the penguin one for me. I also installed it here, now for this site I have gone back to my original avatar and sig line.

Pangor

Candies are the name we use for points. You earn points by posting messages in the forums. When you have enough candies, you can spend them in the Games Room to play the games, like in an games arcade. Depending on how well you do with the games, you can win more candies by playing the games. As I write this, you now have enough candies to play two games.

You can find the link to the games room in the board navigation box on this page. In the games room, you can also create a character to you can also create a character to represent you in the cames. The "View My Character" link in thiis message box, is a link to my games room character.

Pangor

Pangor

I used to use poser a lot probably around 5 days a wek...now a have started pixelpainting and is almost getting a life so i actually haven't opened poser in a week... Scary i know.

I disagree that poser is has too costs anything. I have had poser for around 3 years and i have never bought anything. ( i do have the milgirls put they were on sale for 10 $ and that week daz gave out 10$ cupons, so i didn't pay anything). A lot of generous ppl share their creations and there's so much that u can do yourself.

Like TdaC, I rely on the kindness of strangers - and their freebies, though DAZ has managed to lighten my wallet some! Pixelpainting can be fun, too . . . !

Metacreations, Curious Labs, and Fractal Designs have some of my money when I purchased the three versions of Poser that I have. Two of those purchases were from clearance discount bins. Posy forgive me, DAZ has a little of it too now.

However I have found that between free download, modeling on my own, and the models that are included with Poser and a little work, lots can be done without falling into the money pit trap.

Pangor

There's still hope, Christopher! Have your brother exchange Poser for Bryce - we all know that that doesn't cause obsessions . . . !

Want to talk about strugles with Poser? My early work with Poser was not pretty!

It may take time but you will get it to work well. In the meantime post your problems in the 3D nightmares forum to tell your stories of Poser horror and maybe get some help with those problems.

Pangor

I was fortunate that my brother purchased a copy for me. Having retired - (somewhat) - I find the price of some of these programmes to be an outrage. Cheers

Speaking of obsession and costliness: I just added another 120 GB hard drive into my desktop so that Poser and its enormous library can occupy it all by itself . . .

I have puchased three versions of Poser. Poser 2 was a store closing sale item and Poser 4 was a clearance item. In the case of Poser 4, I think that it was a special order item and the customer who ordered it failed to return for it, and so the store wsa dumping it for a very low price. The only copy I purchased at normal price was Poser 5. I started with a 2 Gig partition for Windows to support games and art. As the art software has needed more and more space I have repartitioned the drive to provide 20 Gigs for that partition.

Pangor
