Post subject: Draft of rule revision for the album.
Here is a first draft of the revised rules that I hope will fill our needs and yet not limit creativity. Please provide you opinions on this so that we can clean it up and move to the next draft or final version.

[hr:efa695ed73]
Please remember that posting your artworks at Posetteforever is a privilege and not a right.

1. Do not post, upload, or link to images that contain:
A. Excessive gore
B. Actual or implied sexual acts
C. Lewd or excessively lascivious actions or displays
D. Photographs containing nudity
E. Anything that you do not own the copyright of
F. Other styles or content that you have been instructed by any staff member of Posetteforever to cease providing.

2. The staff of Posetteforever will determine which pictures are not acceptable and will remove or otherwise dispose of them.
[hr:efa695ed73]

It still seems to me that the existing rules clearly handles all of these situation; I see this as being added to the the top of album's upload page.

In items A and C, I used the word "excessive" so that we determine what is too much and so as to not exclude some fine works that contain a reasonable amount. I left out the reference to pornography because from culture to culture what is considered to be that is different, so I am hoping this will avoid that debate. There is no mention of childern, minors, or genitals, so as to not give troublesome personalities ideas or issues to challenge by their posted works--I think that B, C, and D cover that and other issues. F is there to catch anything else that may come along. While number 2, along with the opening statement, should (I hope) eliminate public debate and accusations of the sort that were made by vonfranck.

Pangor

what about when you paint clothing on skintextures, does that count as nudity or clothes?

To me paint clothing on skintextures are clothes!

Or all these people are naked!

[img:898e045bf0]http://www.posetteforever.com/data/1022/7125afcf8460623111f137196062ae88ca7.jpg[/img:898e045bf0]

Kenny, it can have gore, just not too much of it.

Thilda, if they look dressed, then they are dressed. However, nudity is not a problem, as long as it is not a photograph and it is tasteful.

Pangor

maybe it'd be better to add "real people" ? Expecially for non english people "photographs" could be misunderstood with "pictures"

Yes, maybe you are right. I had thought of using "Photographs of real people containing nudity" But then I started thinking of the photoreal textures that are so popular, and thought that might be confusing.

Pangor

You are correct they are very different, but I did not know how to say it so that it would be understood by everyone reguardless of what language they speak best and so that it would prohibit:

Photographs of nude people.
Photographs of clothed people in scenes with nude Poser characters.
Faces of real people used with bodies of nude Poser characters.
Or some other combination that I have not thought of

but at the same time, not prohibit photoreal textures made from photographs. The difference is real but how to describe it?

( If everyone used only hand painted textures then it would not be a problem. I have used both kinds of textures. )

Pangor

I think photographs of nude real people or something similar could be enough (Tormie doesn't find the right words )

I think you are right. (I can not find better words either).

Pangor

I wrote "Photographs of real people containing nudity"
So it's controversial to say that a texture contains nudity ... The matter become too Zen for poor Tormie

I don't know, any reasonable person should understand what we mean. It is for the strange people like the Gojira gang who would try to find ways around the rules, that make it so hard to get the right words. Words that will tell them not to go too far but will not get in the way of the art of good people.

That is why I added 6F to the list. So if they put up a picture that goes too far but they argue that we did not list that particular problem, it is handled by any one staff member telling him or her to stop it. Why any one staff member and not an official statement? So that the bad people can not say, "Yes, I was told to stop it, but I did not think it was official."

Pangor

We had too much trouble for this thing !! We'll decide hearing the voice of the staff members if something similar would happen again !
