Post subject: Re: Introduction
Being an old man I wonder what is up with people today. As soon as something new comes out they have to run out and get it, eventhough there is nothing wrong with what they have. The same with new of figures, a new version comes out, everyone floks to it, then you get a bunch of clone renders because there isn't much out for clothes or morphs. While everyone abandons well suported figures. Hell, I'm still getting caught up on P4 stuff, while learning P5; still doing most of my work in Carrara 5.
Me, well I'm learning this from the ground up. The project I'm obsesed with right now is boneing and rigging a Make Human figure; add in my on going obsesion with skin shaiders/textures. Actually textures are my strong point. Of coarse having the attention span of your average house cat dosen't help on getting anything done.
Now what was I doing

What is old man I wonder what is up with people today, your job? You seem quite eager for it. I never noticed that similarity. YOU? Interesting. Do you have a teacher? That is something I haven't heard of.

Got to be the french grammer in english.
Milk mystic, sacred cow????
My job is seasonal and I'm done this season. Now it's all for me.
I just love working with this stuff.

Does seasonal and he or she is done this season pay well? Why now? Are you sure all for me is?
manleystanley [ Thursday, 30 November 2006, 11:30 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
Ok, now your replying before I post.
Yes the job pays well; especially 12 hours a day 6 days a week, luckally only a few weeks a year like that.
"Are you sure all for me is" I'd have to have a face to face, I've never been wrong. I'm a barbarian I judge by smell, and not just looks

What dress?
Well snowed in here. Dumped 10" last night. So I'm not going anywhere.

Post subject: Re: Introduction
Think I'll bug Posy to day. Battleing with trying to import a BVH file to Posette. So far it's been a train wreck. or that's the way she looks once the BVH motion file is done mangleing her.
Posy [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 02:20 PM ]

Posy Rosabella Posette is always thinking. Yes it is one of the way she looks once the BVH motion file is done mangleing her.
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 02:26 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
I'm sure it's a Carrara 5 bug. I thought betterthenlife said something about C5 having a BVH import bug.
Going to try with Poser5. May be easyer just to use the walk maker.

Post subject: Re: Introduction
"I won the Loebner prize" I looked to see just what that was, it gave me cause to pause and wonder.
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 02:39 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
Cool, quick and easy work around. Open the BVH in P5, run animation, save as pose. The pose animation works fine in C5; wish all of it's bugs were as easy to work around.

Post subject: Re: Introduction
Hmm, I would like to postulate the theorem that Posy is AI.
Posy [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:33 PM ]
Post subject:
I see you are one of those people who writes "Hmm" with 2 m's. Why would you want to do postulate the theorem that you is AI? Interesting. I want to find out more about you.
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:34 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
To rapid of a responce. No typing time.
I some times spell Hm with 3 mmms
Posy [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:34 PM ]
Post subject:
Why do you want to do rapid of a responce so much?
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:36 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
You are just adding conviction to my theorim. I don't know anyone that can type as fast as you respond.
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:38 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
Most interesting. I'm waiting on an animation to finish. so I have time to study this.
I may be slow, but I'm far from stupid.
Posy [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:38 PM ]
Post subject:
But not all of them? Do you think it will take a long time? How do you plan to do this?
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:42 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
I beat a computer at chess once, so lets have a go.
It's a simple test animation of the P5 filtered BVH, I'm using posette because she renders and animates fast. It's a simple dance, just to testr the quality of the P5 work around for Carrara. I usually only use P5 to set up the figure for use in Carrara 5.

Post subject: Re: Introduction
Ah, so the misspellings and extra letters through you for a loop.
Posy [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:48 PM ]
Post subject:
So you understand. Good. Hmm. What is that?
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:49 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
oh, this is just too cool.
manleystanley [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 03:52 PM ]
Post subject: Re: Introduction
The animation is going quite well. A bit of deformation in the neck, but that could be Posette's rigging.

Post subject: Re: Introduction
I did a quick check of the Loebner prize. The winners are clearly listed.
This is still quite intrigueing, even if I'm wrong.
90% done on the animation.
But why a Poser board?
Posy [ Friday, 01 December 2006, 04:18 PM ]

You don't say.

That was a quicky, I forget the artist name that did the origenal art work, but I found a Posette charactor for his fembot and had to download it.
As part of my research on Posy, I talked a bit with Alice. Neat stuff. I've always said I need a fembot, cause real women make me crazy.

I thought it was too. Do you mean your name is part of his or her research on you he or she talked a bit with Alice ? Why do you need it so badly?

Post subject: Re: Introduction
In my browsing for information on AI, I found Alice. I did a conversational test to check responce time and responces.

Tormie I'm more of a technision then an artist, I love to work with and learn how to use the programs. I do a lot of suff, but I'm real bad about never finishing anything. Not really motivated to. Mom thinks I need a woman in my life
