I only have one 7 gal spherical  -Goldfish Bowl    -with one fish
these days (I got 4 cats) But for years we had aquariums all
over the house, and two thousand-gallon fish pools in the
back yard.  We had one  aquarium, for Pirana's from the Amazon.
My idiot brother-in-law stuck his finger in.
I had to act fast or  he'd have killed my fish !  What
did he THINK  would happen ? They's actually  very pretty
fishes  red and Green and silver  -like with glitter on 'em.
Fed 'em beef liver just like my pet Chicken hawlk...
the Cats never gave  the Pirana's  nor the Hawlk
-no trouble at all.  I'm sure Rene takes good care of
and enjoys them a lot.  I can't find no fault with nobody
what loves animals. Rene, I hope your fish  live
long happy lives.

I am actually someone who is big on fish as well. I have a 55 gallon tank now but I want to upgrade to a 150 gallon to give my fish some more room. My favorite is a Senegal Dragonfin Bichir that we have named "Raz." the little guy is as playful as a dog. We love him.

Hey that's cool Zeus, I've got a Senegal Dragonfin Bichir too! He/she is about 2 inches or so long (just a baby still) and it's name is Billy-Bob He/she is in my 30 gal tank right now until he/she is big enough to move to my 135 gal tank. May have to move it to my 55 gal first. I hardly see mine, he/she likes to hide under the rocks most of the time coming out for food once in awhile or at night when I'm asleep. I also have a tire track eel in my big tank and he/she is a monster sized fish lol Named him/her Pickles He/she is so cool, love to watch it eat knight crawlers in one big gulp! I recently got two golden dojo loaches which are very cool to watch, they swim around my 20 gal tank all the time and don't seem to be shy at all. Also in my 29 gal brackish tank I've got two Dragon Fish (Violet Gobies) which are awesome. They are getting pretty big and I'll have to move them to a bigger tank soon so they have more room.
It's great to have someone else here that knows tropical fish! What other fish do you have?

Well I used to breed African parrot cichlids and puffer fish some time ago. Unfortunately, now we keep a pretty passive tank. The only other thing than my eel (which measures about 6 and 1/2 inches long)  in the tank right now is an 8 inch Tancho Koi that was purchased for my daughter on her first birthday.
Up until two days ago we had a yellow snail who's shell measures 3 inches across in there but alas old age caught up with him. We are keeping his shell for my little one as it was one of her pets. Needless to say we most of our fish have to be pretty big. My wife bought some guppies once thinking to add some color to the tank. That lasted about 2 days until Raz caught the last of them.

Sorry about the yellow snail, but I'm sure your daughter will love that you kept the shell for her
My 55 gal tank has a bunch of different types of Cichlids and I have some in a 20 gal tank until they are bigger and then will move them. I love cichlids, they really seem to have personlity. I have 3 huge oscars in my big tank that are some of my favorite fish. I swear they are like puppy dogs to me lol. I also have 2 green spotted puffers in my brackish tank, 3 dwarf puffers in a freshwater 10 gal tank and one target puffer that lives in a 10 gal tank with a few guppies (until he decides to eat them lol) Puffers are so cool! Those parrot cichlids are awesome, but I always feel sorry for them because of their mouths not closing all the way. They are expensive here too, I think around 14.00 each at walmart. I just got two baby pink convict cichlids the other day, they are pretty nice looking fish. I guess my all time favorites that I have right now are my silver arowana, african knife, african butterfly fish, ghost knife fish, and my tire track eel (of course my oscars and my puffers are at the top of the list too )

You can see I'm fish crazy and my freezer and fridge have more fish foods in them than we have for the family lol
I even go out looking for bugs for them and buy them fresh shrimp, mussels and clams. I think I spoil them way too much
