Re: Free Daz Zygote Centaur
-----------------------------------
Back in Poser 4 days, RemC also made some good fitness/muscularity morphs for P4NM Dork, mostly used for his many superhero and sci-fi characters. From a technical perspective the morphs are quite interesting, because they are pure mesh manipulations, not involving any scaling of body parts (which is the more usual case when pumping up our venerable Dork). Shown here are two different morph approaches to Dork muscularity made by RemC, respectively called Athletic Man (left) and MegaMassive (middle). As I write this in 2025, both free characters are still available (with use of the Wayback Machine) from his old website rem.c.free.fr .

I'll add that the MegaMassive figure is an an excellent morph set, particularly if the default settings on the morphs (shown here) are dialed down to less superhuman proportions. I highly recommend that anyone interested in beefy P4NMs took a close look at this one, as it's a first-rate and perhaps more realistic contrast to the methodology used in the various Richard Kane P4NM morph sets discussed earlier. I think the best analogy is that RemC made a big-boned power-lifter character, while Kane's morphs are more suited to finesse bodybuiler characters. At the end of the day, however, both authors made fine characters and morph sets suitable for any sort of superheroic P4NM characters.

As a comparison to all these P4NM examples, on the right I've depicted a subsequent generation figure (also a free character and also still available), Apollo Maximus by Anton Kisiel. Apollo is a versatile character able to assume many different body shapes, but here I've set him with some of his built-in physical fitness morphs. His upper body looks great in terms of physique, but unfortunately this is about as good as could be done on his legs, which don't have a very realistic shape as a body-builder type of fellow.

I think we can see from these examples that in matters of buffness and muscularity, with the right morphs the standard P4NM does a fine job. From a few sample images I've seen, the many Dork muscle morph variants are equal to or better than the old commercial figure Nude Muscle Man from Zygote. In addition, there are countless other morphs available for P4NM, while as a unique mesh the Zygote figure would not have much if anything premade on that count, and therefore wouldn't be very versatile.
