Post Hey Everyone

Hey there everyone. So about ten years ago I was really active on this site under the name of TheMightyZeus and then I disappeared. I have been away from the world of computers for way too long and most of my friends from those days have long moved on. If anyone is still around from those days please pop in and say hi.

"TheMightyZeus "

Name sorta rings a very distant bell...

Welcome back !!

I, too, was out for best part of a decade. Went from 'didn't get a chance to install my P_7' to budget P_10, then discounted upgrade to PPro_11.

FWIW, Rendo/Bondware have stated they will *only* offer discounted upgrades from P_11 to forthcoming P_12. Not from P_10 or older. And, when P_12 comes out, P_11 will be withdrawn from sale. Zap, gone !! So, do the $$$ math soon.

As I understand it, they're trying to cut loose from Smith Micro's legacy, which includes a bunch of earlier versions floating around re-sellers. Also, perhaps, 'cracked' and validation issues...

Upside, they've sorta promised fixes for much stuff Smith Micro let slide. Including FBX I/O version support. What arrives in P_12.0, given we've been promised a P_12.1 with yet more fixes around Easter 2021, remains to be seen...

Stay Safe, Stay Well, Don't Let The 'Second Wave' COVIDiots Win !!

Hi there! Although I was away from the field of 3D artistry for most years, I'm now re-learning the fundamentals again. I've been looking at The Mighty Zeus's album, & it looks nice work ! Welcome back buddy !

"Stay Safe, Stay Well, Don't Let The 'Second Wave' COVIDiots Win !!"

Yes indeed, people have gotten too relaxed about the issue, gotta keep precautionary measures up, prevention's better than cure they say

Hi and welcome back!

Most of the old timers have moved on, but Tormie keeps the light on so they can find their way back.

Always good to see people come back, even if for a short while.

So I have to let you all know that my long absence this time was not of my choosing. I have been in and out of the hospital and almost lost both of my legs to a bacterial infection. I am healed up for the most part but my legs from the knees down are still the color of a ripe pomegranate. I will try to pop in more often. Sorry for the long absence.

Ick...

If it was the 'flesh-eating bug' I'm thinking of, you're doing well to be telling us about it...

Hyperbaric treatment required ??

it all started out innocently enough. I scraped my shin on a piece of wood. I never in a million years thought that something like that could do so much damage. The infection overpowered the antibiotics they had me on and ran rampant causing HUGE blisters (Like from my ankle to back of my knee) and did a massive amount of deep tissue damage. To compound everything, I came down with covid and while they were treating that I had to be pulled off of all antibiotics. I was a very sick person for a while there. If this tells you anything I counted how many times I was stuck with needles (IV's included) and it was 87 times. at one point I had 4 IV's running at the same time.
Anyway, long story short, I am just getting to where I can walk again. I am healing up slowly but surely and I will be around for a while yet. Thank you for the well wishes.
