Post subject: Irrational fears
Everyone is afraid of something , but not everyone want to talk about it . So if you want to share some of your irrational or rational fears you're welcome...I believe my list will be the longest
So it's my turn , I'm afraid of :
1) earthqaukes
2) dead birds (More disguised than afraid but ...they really look terrible with all these plumage... )
3) gypsies ( exspecially when they're 3 times bigger than me in a group of 10 persons...When I lived near the getto I even didn't go to the shop. And most of the people I know have already been beaten by such "gangs"... )
4) being among many people (Last Monday I went to Albena with a friend of mine and his company . They all looked at me as I'm an extra-terrestre . They have commented my scars more than an hour and when someone else came the first thing they did was to say : "Hey do you want to see something really freak?" I'm not a circus attraction. )
5) dying , not death , just dying
6) wild dogs
7) the examps next year
many other things which I'll write later

- Rivers' water
- Spiders
- dead birds me too ...

Quote:

I'm not a circus attraction

I don't think you're a circus attraction but it seems that you're searching social life, so you should find some kind of "normality" in your external behaviour. Personally I think that it's the world that it's wrong around me, not myself but in any case I've to sign some pacts with the world if I want to live with it... Scars are not attractive in a girl expecially if they are self inflicted, you should go to a plastic surgeon in the future to erase them... (Tormie started to talk like a old-fart-relative )

Quote:

"Hey do you want to see something really freak?"

Mmmh... If I were there I would have replied "Hey do you want to try something very hurting ?"

Tormie is very worried ...

Actually I was searching for alcohol and advace from another girl who pass the examps for a painter academy this year , I just wanted to know more about the examps then spend the night in a hotel with a bottle whisky ( " Jonny Walker" ) but these teenagers made me go home much earlier. Besides in my point of view they look absurd ( and I told them what I think ) Is it normal for a 13 years old girls to walk around with a tone of make-up , false breast (pads) , false hair forelock , false long eyelashes and extremely high heels? I don't think so. If this is considered normal why having aestas , swastikas and this " IYI" (a pagan symbol of luck also known as the symbol of the Dulo tribe) and also other such things on your thighs is considered non-normal? If I had tatoos with these symbols nobody or maybe a few people would considered them non-normal. One of my old school classmates had painted the name of her boyfriend on her hand with a knife and the others found it romantic ,a symbol of love , real love... and later he did the same. I don't find this not normal. Plastic surgery? No. Most of my scars are from a razor or from my mother's special knives complect ( shoemakers use such knives for leather) : "The butcher's dream" as I call them they heal for a month and of course I made new ones. But I appreciate your advaces , an old-fart friend is always in need...
Talking about fears , there was an old woman here , 97 or 98 years old who was afraid of black cars , no matter what is the car just black car. I suppose she was thinking it's a hearse or something. Oh I'm afraid of spiders too.

Is this what you call a "word problem". Yes he did, didn't he. It depends where you look. Or something. Why? What happened to her?

I think what Posy needs is a clue ... sorry Posy, just teasing!

My fears are very normal for the most part... for a male of my age

Being burned alive, or buried alive... ugh, shudder!
Poverty. In light of recent events this has become a big one.
Blindness. Especially a gradual, irrepairable loss of sight.

There are more, but those are the biggies. Except for the most crazy of all...

I hate and fear the telephone ringing! I have never liked phones and this has gotten worse with age. I can overcome it on a daily basis, but I always get a twinge of irrational fear in the pit of my stomach when a phone rings

Oh well!

Interesting topic, erenda

Is that among the best things you can say? Would you like to have liked phones and this has gotten worse with age? I thought so too.

Mmmm... what am i afraid of...
1. Not being able to breath. I once had an allergic reaction to penecillin, my airways and tongue swelled up and i couldn't breath. I have never been so scaried in my life and i'm worried of that happening again.

2. Losing the people i love, like them dieing and me being all alone.

3. Swimming where the water is so deep that i can't feel or see the bottom. ( this only applies outside:))

4. Sharks very rational fear when you live in sweden

Erenda most people will look at people who they feel look, act or are different from them selves for a varity of reasons, like fear, jelousy, curosity´and who knows what else. Some even belive that what you see on the outside is what the person is like on the inside.
When i was your age ( i can't believe i'm old enough (28) to say when i was your age!), i had a friend that a lot of people avoided becuase of how she looked. She had black, purple and blond hair in a mohawk. She was wearing black or dark colored clothes, had a lot of piercings and makeup. She also cut herself on her arms and legs with a razor. The way you discribe your look and your personality remind me somewhat of her.
She was and still is one of the kindest, sweetest people i have ever met. But most people would judge her by how she looked and so they never got to know what a sweet person she was. Through her i met a lot of people who's looks scared off people and learned that usually the people who look different are more accepting and tolerant of others, than those who look like people do most.

"Hey do you want to see something really freak?" I would have told them, hey want me to get you a mirror?

1-Not to be able to give to my family what they need and what they want (we have serious laboral problems here and the fear to lose a work make some people to abuse of this situation)

2-Deep water, this city is surrounded by water, the 99.9% of the people can swim, I can't, but I love water and the river, so when we go to the beach I'm allways near the shore.

3-E.T.s (yes, don't laugh) extraterrestrial creatures with big eyes and small mouth do scarry me a lot, no gosth, no terror films scarry me like an E.T. one

4-Trafic, to cross a street full of intense trafic

I'm weird, am not?

The greatest of the mundane that is ever present is the siutation where someone that I love is need or pain and I am unable to do anything to help.

Erenda, as for appearing different from others and how they react. About a week ago, I had to go downtown do run some errends. The errends required me to be in the far side of the downtown area (about two blocks from the lake) and to the opposite side of the downtown area (where the main grouping of skyscrapers are). Walking to downtown from my home took a little more than an hour and a half. After walking around downtown to run the errends, I walked home.

On that day we were having a heat wave, to walk back home it took me almost three hours. I was not able to walk very fast; between the heat and my bad leg acting up that day; so I kept a slow steady pace and of course I had my cane.

On the way home, someone yelled (profanity not repeated), "Hey oldman! You better get home before you die!" (I am not that old). Someone else, "Get out of here freak! And another person, "Hey you gimp! Get out of here!"

My reaction, was to continue on my way as though I heard nothing.

Pangor

Yes, I feel the same way, but I have a feeling that had I done anything but what I did do, the ambulance would have been needed for me.

But I did find a little humor in the last comment. I am pretty sure that the person who called me a gimp (meaning lame or crippled) knows nothing of the software called gimp that I use for my painting program.

Pangor

Oh yes, usually the ambulance is for me too, the fact is that I'm not able to avoid such kind of confrontations. Some years ago I had an exchange of opinions with five drunk people and I had 1 month of prognosis... They had to extract two incisive teeth from my left hand and I don't know who was the owner. I had to keep on a collar for 15 days and I had to use a lot of ice on my face... But as the years passes I'm becoming more tolerant, I think in order to survive...
