Hi friends, only to tell you what I'm doing: I'm placing in the right category every prop, character etc. of my Poser runtime library. First I took ALL the props and put them in a single directory, then I used P3DO to put them in the right place and now I'm doing the same with the characters.

The problem is that I have literally thousands of things and I'm becoming MAD :crybaby:, but if I've to do this task because I'm no more able to find the right things for doing my pictures. I have a lot of ZIPs to open too...

When all will be ok I think to make a full backup just in case my hd would broke...

All this thing is very annoying and is causing me a lot of headache...

Never much fun this sort of thing... Good luck with it

A few months ago I tried to catalogue the props/characters/models and stuff on all my poser backup disks. I lasted about an hour and did half of the first CD. I left the other twenty odd CDs still on the shelf.

I'll have a drink for you Tormie

LOL once upon a time I used to actually keep my downloads organized, heh. There were folders for all the different things, props, clothes, textures, etc. Then they were burnt to disk and neatly label...

Now it's just one big mess of oddly named downloads that I know I'll never get around to sorting, heh. It is needless to say much easier to find things on the older disks, heh.

As for my runtime I really try not to install things I don't think I'm going to use soon. Sure there are all sorts of cool things I would like to have on hand, but I've gotten my runtime folder up to 3 gig before, and it was crazy trying to find anything. My Pose directory list was a mile long, lol.

I think that mine is far bigger than 3 gigs, I've to pack something

hey guys talking about the size of runtime folders ..mine at the minute is 13gigs..and every thing is due to a little program called PBooost. I would not be with out it now. I have folders set up within all the main runtime folders which I can name anything I like and I store all my stuff in named folders for each character. ie V3, clothes, morphs, mats, characters, props. I did this for everything and the program actually allows you to move stuff around in the folders too. I would recommend this progam for anybody and then there is a little correct reference tool that matches all your textures up to the appropriate files so it makes runtime run a lot smoother as it knows exactly where everything is...

no unfortunately the PBooost program is not free but the cheapest price I have found on it is $16.00 and the correct reference I talked about is free, for the older version which works fine for me. The link for the progam is

http://www.hogsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=28

to me it is well worth the money...as it allows a lot more versatility within the runtime folder

I also use the p3d program mainly to transfer some files and to see if I have duplicates or whatever and I would not be without that program too...but the pbooost program actually allows you to create other folders within runtime and then while using poser you can switch between the different folders, that is why it is so good..to me they both work in unison with each other..

I'm trying Pbooost, it's a great program, but I think tath if i would use it the mess here would increase a lot ! More runtime libraries... BRRRR!!!
