Hi friends, it seems that VK has choosen Posetteforever as the only place where he shares his creations, look here:

http://market.renderosity.com/mod/f...=2644733&page=1

Now it's the reason why we're having so many users online, it's the occasion to test if PF can stand so many bandwidth usage, if the lights will turn off, you know my email address ...

When I got on last night, and noticed a steady stream of changing users, and the new car, I thought that was probably the reason! Have seen lots of user names that I haven't seen before.

Good for our ratings.

And the numbers are still climbing, 166 registered users visited during the last 24 hours".

There is another reason too, Thilda props are drawing people from FaerieWylde as well. I saw some people from FW online here, and at least one member from FW who I am know has registered here today.

I was just telling Erenda, that I have something to upload for an anniversary gift in a day or so. Only a month late. Will also add it to the Rendo free stuff listings and maybe anounce on other sites.

I noticed that the max users online ever should eventually be updated.

But, our name has been getting around. There was a link at Daz in Freepository forum to the Cobra, and mention of some of the other items in our download area. Since there were a few comments about logon/download issues, I posted the following:

"Hi everybody,

If anyone else has a problem logging in or downloading at PosetteForever, please let us know. This link has made the rounds, and has been a good test of a recent site upgrade, though not without some minor issues with a lot of new accounts in a single day.

Also, there have been some bandwidth issues with VK's site due to the huge demand which we have temporarily solved.

It is a great model, and thanks for stopping by.

melamkish
Staff member at PosetteForever"

The full posting is here. http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=35679

Wow.

That post was good for PR (I hope). While I was typing the above post, I got a PM from someone at Daz having login problems. Now to figure out what is up.

Thank you, I hardly go to DAZ's fourms so did not know about that thread.

Thanks for your help, and the other information.

I only get over to the Daz forums about once a month or when I am researching something. With all the hoopla over the ArtZone, I decided to see what was going on there, as well as see if I could find anything about Kenny's Bryce issue. The Daz search engine pulls up way too much stuff, but noticed the Cobra mentioned. Figured it would be good public relations to stop in and say hi to everyone.

Thank you, I agree about the PR.

I have posted this at DAZ in that topic.

Quote:

Hello,

Anyone who are experiencing any activiation or other difficulties with your accounts at Posetteforever. Please contact me by email at . Send the email from the same email account that you used when you registered.

adamr001, skcihmm, your accounts have been activated. You don't have to be logged in to ask for help, you do have to be logged in to send a PM however, email is always available.

I am about to look into the problem reported at DAZ about the batmobile.

Saw it pop up. I re-read the batmobile post and it could be that he just missed noticing it or didn't have time to grab it.

Unusual to have a Tuesday off and watch multiple sites in real time this morning, but time to get off for a few, do some errands and run down a Linux compatible network card.

The answer there is that there is not problem with the batmobile. Is is hosted on the same server as others of VK's models, so when the bandwidth limit hits for one of them it also hits for the batmobile.

Thank you for your helpful hand friends ! Lol, I'm unable to reach that thread at Daz's forum because in my account there (a very old one) I have a date of birth in 2003 and it's impossible to change it so I'm kept out of the forum ...

There were a large number of people who had registered and the past few days who filed to activate their accounts. Assuming this was because of their not getting their activations emails, I activated and locked their accounts. Now they are activated but still need to use the security question/answer challenge/reply to enter for the first time. I sent emails to those people telling that their account are activated.

There of the emails bounced so thise three accounts have been deactivated.

Thank you pangor, I deactivated the activation email thing for a while because you know the system probably overloaded but now I'm going to reactivate it. I also noted a strange response in the "new post since last visit" so I made a routine check, repair and optimize on the database and all seems to be ok now...

Thank you. I agree that the email activation needed to be off for a while, but I am glad it is on again.
