Post subject: POSER 4 "DROP TO FLOOR" HELP!!!!!
Hi all hoping for some insight...I'm using poser 4 and have a character that I created from Posette. I notice recently that when I try to use the Control-D command she's not dropping to the floor but rather ending up in the sky. I'm still able to use her for scenes and animation but just can't get her to respond to CTRL+D. All my other figures are fine. I must have messed up something on this character but can't figure out how to fix her. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome Kraizydo <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/JC_howdy.gif" alt="" /> <br /> <br /> Thinking about your problem it looks as if there's a (invisible?) prop parented to the character who's base is lower than the one of the character. I don't have P4 so I can't provide any screenshot, but you should try selecting each parented item one by one with the "display origin" option checked to verify the green marker is inside the borders of your character. <br /> <br /> The other reason I can think of would be a problem with the character itself. Try selecting the "body" of your character and rotate it by the dials. It should rotate around the hip as center. If it doesn't, go to the joint parameter palette and copy the rotation center values of "hip" to the "body" (always make a backup for this kind of surgery). <br /> I hope it helps. If not I'd need more information.

Other than what Ahjah, has already said, perhaps an overriding pose. <br /> <br /> In which case, this may help: <br /> <br /> <a class="post-url" href="http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?57910-how-to-apply-DROP-TO-FLOOR-to-any-frame-of-the-animation" target="_blank">http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthr...f-the-animation</a> <br /> <br /> It may just do the trick anyway, but let us know how you get on. <br /> <br /> Oh, and welcome aboard Kraizydo <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

If I remember correctly Poser 4, does not have Python... <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_wall.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_wall.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_wall.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_wall.gif" alt="" /> <br /> <br /> (I think python began with Poser Pro Pack). <br /> <br /> Please ignore my post above.

Ahjah <br /> <br /> THAT'S IT...You're Brilliant. <br /> <br /> It was a Prop I attached to the character for future use and made it invisible, Forgot it was there and it became mis-aligned causing the Drop to Floor issue. <br /> <br /> WHEW! THANK YOU SO MUCH. <br /> <br /> Also I mis-spoke...I do have the Poser 4 Pro Pack...I just always refer to it as Poser 4. This means I can use the PY that Chromium mentioned. <br /> <br /> Thank you to you both. <br /> <br /> You made my day! <br /> <br /> K
