DEATHMATCH ARENA - Tired of all the nude pics in the galleries ?

I seldom comment on 3D nudes because they all have the same Vicky character base in them. Taking it one step further, I won't even look at a pic that has the *nudity* flag. Seen one, you've seen 'em all.
Don't anyone take it personally. I just don't find these type of images very meaningful.

And I suppose you just read the articles in Playboy

Just razzing ya', Den. I do know what you mean though. It can get a but monotonus at times.

This was supposed to be a question, but the question mark was missing and I never noticed it until I saw
Tormentor's comment and couldn't figure out what he was talkin' about.
I had to edit the title today.

I see that without the question mark, it sounds like an observation.

Tormentor:
No thanks on the Mike pix with swords long or short...
I won't look at those either...

I'm a dirty old guy in a wheelchair so...............Bring them on. As far as art some nude pic are quite interesting. Thats if they are a mood or generate thought. I was going to post a mood pic but have held off cause of tastes here........don't want to offend.

Speeeeeeeeeeeeeeedy WC ever looking a beauty where he can find it

True enough Ken, but it appears to be that everyone is only interested in that type
of content.

Those pics almost always get all the comments and far more worthy images go unnoticed.
Portraits are pretty much the same story.
Personally, what people choose to do is fine by me.

To constantly post nudes with every image posted doesn't make sense to me.
A nude once in awhile is fine, but not every post just to get views.

I just hope people don't see me as a hypocrit many of my pics contain nudity, but I mainly try and use it to enhance the mood of the pic. A naked person seems much more vurnerable than a clothed one

I've an intelligent comment to write here, but:
- it is in italian
- it's late here and I don't want to translate it
- :PRRR!:

(tomorrow I'll wite my thought, but don't worry Den, your little secret will stay between you and me )

I wasn't referring to your images, Ken.
They are provocative and tell the story like it is.
You don't use Vicky from what I have seen, Ken. It is Stephanie as the base character.
Correct ?
Also, your images reflect real life instances and emotions, whereas the other images done
by just about everyone else is nothing more than nude glamour posing.

WC, you can't offend me with any nudity in a pic.

(Unless it is our illustrious webmaster getting out of the bathtub facing us(part 2of the image in the gallery)....
Then I will have to run for the hills.
(It will take awhile to find some. The nearest small mountain (really tiny) is a couple of hundred
miles away and no it ain't the Rockies)
Manitoba is pretty much flat prairie.

Well,
as far as I am concerned, still working in Poser3 and conforming clothing isn´t supported,
I only have the option to play with combinations of texturing, morphing , and parenting static props. That can be qite annoying.... so:

I like my Posette nude

Nude, clothed, it's all the same if the image says something.

Just nudity for it's own sake... why do they bother with poser, just hire a real model. For the cost of Poser 5, V3, M3 and some of the high end character packs, clothing packs and props, you could easily afford a decent digital camera a couple of lights and the cost of a few nude models a month.

I am a brazilian and I have nothing against nudity or would be crazy but I agree with Den about the overuse of Vicky in nude pics.
I myself never dressed a Vicky in my works, except for the attempt of to make with a Vicky the pic posted in Photo Album as "The Warrior Queen"
I believe that the reasons are these:

Mike and Vicky are made for nude pics the figures's high definition becomes them perfect for this.

Ozzie is right about the cost, it is far more easy to improvise clothes for Posette and P4Male than Mike and Vicky. In the pic "The Warrior Queen" I only used free itens and regular cloths with textures for this the pic did not work with a Vicky!

Unless I animate my art to avi.or mpg 1,2.I have alway used a flat face down perspective
on the mats that I use.Using Bryce,Poser, and a few other 3D modelers. It makes the texture stand
out and give the feel of 3D clothing.TdaC used that idea which I thought was a bump map, was indeed
a drawing map out of Adobe Photoshop. It gives the look of deepness in that drawing.I have stated in
other web sites of this that I build a figure with clothing by simply drawing it because it was the look I wanted to have and there was simply not an outfit for what I was doing on the market at the time.Sometimes I do,somtimes I don't.When it happens that you can't tell, then I feel like that I have done something special.I have been known to get praise on an outfit sometimes that simply do not
exist. But I hope that I have given you an idea or even you have given yourself an idea to try something different.Different sales the work and originality lures people to buy it.I think you all have that drive to do just that.

you mean the clothing i paint on the skintextures? I do that in psp 7. A good tip when painting clothes on skintextures is to make the details of the clothes stand out by using topography. It makes it look less painted on...

Indeed I do mean just that TdaC.It is a great idea and technique. In the free stuff it would be a
good idea not to give away secrets, but to build a tutorial and put it in a zip file.Place it out on the site
in a new place for tutorials on this type of content.Just a thought.Either way you simply touch the work
up in photoshop and presto.Instant outfit. It is excellent for Poser 3 and it helps out when you just don't have that kind of money to blow around. It's sometimes as expensive to dress your poser up than it is yourself.

Well the reason that i paint clothes on the characters is simply because if posy is wearing a skirt or dress, she can 't bend her legs without the clothing breakes. And if she is wearing pants, she can't bend her knees too much.

I know what you mean TdaC.I was saying that sometimes it's better to build a drawing of clothes rather than spending on something that doesn't exist. Some people do not have ideas like you or me so they don't build our needs in models. So we are different and now one can take the clothes because
we have them and later on could enspire someone to build clothes of such.Yes I have done that before on the legs as you stated.

I don't find plain nudity that interesting. I've seen some gorgeous pics but they also must include alot of detail to hold my interest. Like the ripple of muscle on upper arms & back, large strong hands & fingers, creases & shadows & lines capture my full attention! Leaving abit to the imagination at the same time.
Any good textures out there for the P4 male???

I know what you mean about the clothes and all winter200.Its kind of like a christmas present in a way.It holds the imagination.See it and its all over and then you have to deal with reality. How ever there is some if it is done right is very classy and in good taste. There is one pick here and I will use this as an example is Tormentor's hand with Posy and I believe her top is off but he is pulling down the covers of the bed and she is holding his thumb in the mean time hiding what she has.In my way of looking at it.It is out of respect for ones love not to disrespect the lady but mearly show a point in the picture.Any man that loves someone such as this will do that.It is classy,it is sweet and all in all it shows just how a nude pick can be made a classic if done right. As far as Poser dude I don't know of any good textures of the male and I would and this is just a thought.I would modify or build your own useing photos of someone you know and try to build your own personal map.I have done that with a women and found that the results are very rewarding.I hope this helps you and it was good talking to you.

This was a large issue around here not long ago. I can not speak for every one, but as for my opinion, there is much artistic merrit in the use of nudity, when it is done correctly.

Nudity in 3d art all the time and for no other reason than for nudity for nudity sake can become very boring. Then again fully clothed characters all the time can be silly. If the story told by the picture or the situation requires nudity then that is appropriate and to avoid it is the joke. Such as a scene of some one taking a shower or a bath would require nudity. On the other hand if nudity is not appropriate for the situation, such as taking a walk on the moon, then it should not be used.

That said, in our on-line artist communites just as in the real world, all communities will establish limits on what is acceptable in that town or in that gallery. What is acceptable here may be more than what is exceptable over there, while way over there they may accept what is not acceptable here. In all such cases, for peaceful co-existance each member of the community needs to learn what is and is not accpetable within that particular community. The best way to do that here at Posetteforever, is to read the rules and for an example of those rules in practice would be to view our album to see what has been accepted.

Pangor
