The makers of ZBrush are giving away a modeling software for free, Sculptris. (registration required)
It's fun, the first thing I tried is an old time plastic wig for Posette

:) one of the DIS-advantage of this proggy. It only writes TRIANGLES, but it writes a LOT of them.
They are poly reduced already. While editing  they are in the 200K area easily... I could convert the tris to quads, but the edges would look like a saw blade.
