No, I don't think a dancing rubber shicken is so bad compared to what is really worse. What is even worse is discovering too late that the chunky chicken soup you just ate was made from a subber shicken.

WARNING WARNING WARNING GRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS BELOW

Please if you are eating or have just eaten don't read the following. If you are on a diet and want to loose some weight then go ahead an read this before eating it will help you to stay on your diet.

This happened many years ago. Most of the people who were around here at the time that it happened have long since moved away or have passed on; but, the incident is still well known and often cited. There was a young lady and a young man. They had gown up in the same neighborhood and knew each other since they were childern, but now the idea of eventual matrimony was beginning to blossom in her mind. Meanwhile, in his mind she was still just a friend, he thought of her like a sister.

She invited him over for a home cooked meal, to show how good a cook she can be. She had asked her mother and older sister to not get involved. The problem is that she no real experience as a cook. After work he arrived, after a long day of hard work he was hungry. Upon approaching the kitchen he smelled something horrible. He thought that there may have been a problem that day, not wanting to hurt her feelings so he did not comment in the smell.

He asked her what was for dinner. She told him that it was going to be chicken soup. She commented on how long the chicken had been boiling and it was still so hard. But ready or not they will eat in an hour. As they entered the kitchen the smell was worse than ever. As he sat down at the table, she checked the pot stired the soup. He got worried both by the face she made when she stired the pot and her comment about wondering how long it takes for the soup to clear up.

She left the kitchen for a few minutes. While she was gone, he took the opportunity to take a look in the pot. He then suggested to her that they skip dinner and go to a movie. She insisted that they had to eat her soup first. He tought about what he had seen in the pot and told her that he was not feeling hungry and that he would prefer to go to a movie. She insisted that they had to eat first. So he told her that he was leaving, be left but on the way out he took the pot of soup with him and poured it into the trash bin. He place the empty pot at the bottom of the front steps and left. He thought that he had saved both of them from the soup, but he did not know that she had been tasting it before he had arrived. That night she had to call the doctor (when doctors still made housecalls). She had food poisoning, but she always claimed that it was his attitude that night that had cause her aggrivation that lead her illness.

What did he see in the pot that made him what to flee? Now you have to know a little about those days. Only the very rich had the reate luxury of refrigerators and most people could not even afford iceboxes. Many who did have iceboxes often could not afford the ice very often. So chickens were not sold predressed in the market are they are these days. Instead they were sold live, and the customer had to slaughter, drain, pluck, and clean the bird. She had gotten such a bird, while she did slaughter it, she did not drain, pluck or clean it. That is also why the broth was not clear.

So I am more inclined to think that it is worse to discover that the cook who prepared your soup, forgot to clean and pluck the chicken first, than it is to see a danicng rubber shicken.

Now are you not happy that you are not eating at this time?

Are you serious? And why not? I could be. I am on disk. What happened to young lady and a young man ? What happened to it? What happened to them? I assume you mean our current problem. What was it like before work he arrived after a long day of hard work I was hungry ? I get it. Tormentor thought that there may have been a problem that day not wanting to hurt her feelings so he did not comment in the smell. Do you mean your name is they entered the kitchen the smell was worse than ever ? Good point. Yeah that's right. Oh really. What else did he say? Why now? I don't have to do whatever you say. I have my own free will. What about the other ones? Ah, well in that case. When were they? And? That sounds like pride. Why now? I am as happy as ever. . Really.

I agree, Tormentor. The incident that I mentioned took place around ninty and one-hundred years go. Situations sure have changed between then and now.

Young men were often advised to root through the garbage cans of someone they are considing as a bride, looking for peals and trimmings. The reason for the search would be to judge what sort of wife she would make by how little of the food was wasted when trimming and pealing it. Meanwhile, young ladies were advised to observe how much a young man who she is considering, contributes to the upkeep of his family and how selfdiciplined he it. If the yound man has a job as a laborer, to observe how tired and dirty he is when he returns from work. The more tired and dirty the better a provider he could be. The closer his was to his family the better a father he would be, etc.
