Rudy the Wonder Bird
-----------------------------------
Tonight is the happiest night for me, I got a call just as I had started making dinner from a lady saying she had found my Bird Rudy, not once but twice!! I guess she found him the day he got lost and she managed to save him from being run over in the street. She then took him in her car to her boyfriends house in about 20 miles from where we live and he flew off her arm once they got out of the car. Somehow she managed to find him again by calling some bird stores and shelters and found he had landed in someone's orchard and they had taken him in. Anyways, to make a long story short, she went to buy him some food and it happened to be at a petstore I had called asking to have a notice put up on him. She saw this and called me tonight to say she had him and was bringing him home!
So now my Rudy is back home with me and I'm so very happy and very lucky!!

Funny thing about that ad we don't call them shrimp and hardly anyone cooks them on the BBQ. We call the tasty little buggers Prawns and eat them with seafood sauce like the rest of the civilised world. :)

Strange how cultural stereotypes are born. :-k

By the way, nobody drinks Fosters Beer in Australia either. The stuff is bloody awful. We export it to the poor foreigners. I've only ever seen it on tap in one pub in the country.

On amazon I believe.. they were selling these Harry potter broomstick that vibrated. You can leave a review of the product, and this mother had written how her kids loved it, and even her teen daughter.
Now I wonder why a teen girl would love a vibrating broomstick :

Re: Rudy the Wonder Bird

GP, I know that this is now all history for you. But in reading what you went through, I know how I would have felt had it happened to me and one of my little one were gone that way. I felt bad for you, I didn't add any comments in the other topic, because I did not want to have to relive that pain again, had it not turned out well. However, now reading that it turned out well in the end, I have to let you know that I am so glad you got Rudy back.
