I agree with Thilda and further more, there is the fact that shadows don't always show actual combination of objects that create them in a way that they really are.  For example the other day when I was downtown I saw a strange shadow of someone closing in on me.  The shadows were begin cast ahead and to the right of me.  The image of the shadow looked like a man with devil horns and a feature that was very similiar to this picture.  Because of the approach of Halloween, I thought it was someone in an unusual devil costume.  I was wrong, when I saw the actual man as he passed me by I saw that he was carrying a long florecent lighting tube down by his hip and the horns was caused by someone else who was carrying some strange looking hat rack.  The shadows had merged to give the image like the shadow in this picture but clothes and with devil horns too.

This picture is almost like an inkblot test, that shows little but what we see is what we bring to it.
