These are the Material, Light & Render settings available in Poser 4 Pro.

Unfortunately, no "shadow map settings" here.

I'm going to try one or all of the following: 

1) remove the extra light I added in front of the figure

2) add a back light behind the figure 

3) different graphics resolutions
