Post What about a blender forum ?

I was thinking (yes... sometimes ) ...

Blender is a great program and it's free, we have also people that specialized in using this program, above all Rayera and Ahjah with very good tutorials and freebees
Maybe we should adopt this program and dedicate a forum to it, moving there the tutorials and the discussions related.
I think that Blender perfectly matches the "spirit" of Posetteforever , a dedicated forum could even be a way to pull people in trying it instead of expensive commercial products.
What do you think about it ?

BTW, if my lazyness will permit it I'll prepare some direct links to Blender home page for our front page links rack

P.S. i made and installed the icons already

You already know what I'll say, don't you?

I AGREEEEEEEEEE!!

As Tormie say, Blender is a full featured application, and maybe you don't need all this sophisticated features,
maybe you don't want to create your own Big Buck Bunny, but it's fantastic for morphing, modeling something you don't find
in the web, or even render with it's fast fantastic renderer and materials

Yes I agree. From what I seen from the software and it being free is very impressive. We could learn more and use this as an extension of Poser.

It has been done

I'll announce it in the public forum soon.

I moved there some topics: the tutorials by rayera ans the Andreas' topics where he said he made the morphs with Blender. Feel free to move them again if you consider the category wrong friends.

I also made moderators "in charge for the forum" as experts Rayera and Ahjah. The "old timers" are moderators too, as in all fora, in order to have the possibility to move, edit, delete topics and posts eventually written by trolls.

On the occasion I've also merged two fora together : 3d nightmares and the little sculptor, called it "3d nightmares" and merged the two description. I thought that the arguments where basically the same, but I can even step back, just say your opinion, we can even change the name of the forum with something else, however it is the forum for discussing of 3d applications and techniques
