Well I have been there and I have seen sprays come over the bow of the ship and if you where dry then you won't be in a few seconds. That would be 20 feet over the flight deck. I have seen seas so ruff that we tied ourselves down with chains and waited it out. It was enough to put the fear of God in you real quick.
