Halloween will soon arrive, so excuse my ghoulishness. No Poser people were harmed in the composition of this image.
Rendered in Poser 4, with my own textures on everything appearing in the scene except the utility cart in the background. Cast: 3 Posettes, 2 Dorks, and 1 P4 Business Man (who I modified to use a Poser 4 head rather than his standard Poser 3 mug).
I wasn''t certain all six characters would load into this scene, as I often have troubles with Dorks in particular emanating unruly crosstalk, but it went well. The next trouble was finding a nonboring camera angle which simultaneously included all the figures in the scene. Certainly there were many interesting close-ups, which also nicely displayed the textures I made for the rotting corpses. But most of the long shots were either too staid, or alternately a bit too churlish in anatomical revelations for the characters laid out on the tables. The render shown here was probably the best balance of clarity and tact which could be obtained.
Apart from a smidge of saturation and contrast adjustment (total postwork time less than five minutes), what''s seen here was the raw render output of P4. I haven''t the foggiest idea how that tiny shadow appeared on the right ankle of the Posette dressed in brown, as there''s absolutely nothing present in the scene which could have caused it in relation to the lighting angles used. Perhaps there''s an otherwise imperceptible small hole in her pantyhose (which is a separate clothing item for her). For those curious I''ll add she''s supposed to be slightly greenish, as she''s a half-orc character.
Another shadow problem visible is with the mortuary tables-- it''s a somewhat goofy model, somehow or another the horizontal table surface is irremediably semi-transparent (as can be seen on the ground). I left it alone rather than postwork it away; for all we know as viewers, the table surfaces may be some kind of delicate meshwork, which would be a reasonable justification of the odd shadows. |
