The background photo was by Hobobo, who once had a massive gallery of similar photo props at the now-defunct ShareCG. If anyone knows whether he currently has an online presence or gallery where those things are archived, I''d like to know. I have tried internet searching, but haven''t been able to turn up anything. Unfortunately the Wayback Machine doesn''t work for ShareCG, because a registered log-in was required to download anything on that site.
The Poser 4 era was a golden age of free models for comic book and superhero characters, but not very notable for more mundane military or soldier characters. I only have a few, and those are mostly World War 2 era characters or Warhammer sci-fi troopers. I was thinking I needed some more contemporary looking soldiers (yet still from a fantasy world), so I combed through the old props chests, patched it all together like a quilt, and came up with the results shown here. |
