Post Poser Debut (free Version) Library Blank

Hi there!

I got the free Poser Debut, and installed it; but the library palette is empty, except for a message stating that "additional HTML content should be placed here. Flash is required. Download here."

I have the latest version of flash.

I suspect that the trouble is due to the fact that I do NOT have Internet Explorer install on this machine.

Has anyone else experienced this trouble?
Is there a way to get Poser Debut to use Firefox for it's library needs?

If IE is required, it will be the third 7 final strike against me using Poser Debut.

There was a similar problem when running Poser8/Pro2010 on linux/wine
The workaround for this was loading the library manually into firefox AFTER Poser has started and using the browser as palette.
The library GUI for Poser8 is located in
Runtime/ui/Flex/LSMGUI/bin-release/LSMGUI.html (I never tried this myself)
Might work similar for Debut, too

Yes it is a flash problem but should clear up if you are connected to the internet. I have liked Poser 8 Pro but gave up on the rest that has this type of software. It renders it usless with out the flash.

Thanks again for the assistance!

I asked this question at RDNA about the same time that I asked here, and learned that I do not need IE, I just needed the IE "debugged" version of Flash. I downloaded & installed it, and everything seems to be fine, now.

Now to see if the limited material room, and limited Firefly controls will allow me to maintain the "look" that I am accustomed to.

Poser 7 o 8, I think. E-frontier and later Smith Micro relaunched ttheir old products with a new name and reduced prices a few years afterwards.

I think the best way to describe Poser Debut, is that it is an entry level version of Poser 8.
It has limited access to Firefly controls, it has very limited access to material control (no displacement...?!?!), it doesn't run python scripts (according to it's manual; but I've seen scripts made for it... )

I think that it might be most useful for me to internalize pmd morphs...
I'm still (slowly) exploring it...

No material room, no firefly, no python... sounds like Poser4

Don't know if this will work or not, but...
