Post Working on changes in the Album

Hi friends, here at the administration floor of PF we're maiking some changes in the album, nothing special but simply a way to improve the organization of your pictures.

Actually we added a top "the whole album" category, it has been done because people like me who are very lazy   and check the album only after months       want to find all the pictures, no matter of the category where they have been posted. I ever thought that "the posetteforever gallery" category made this work but I was wrong.
So now our album combines the features of a categorized gallery and one that isn't.

I also tought that a visitor want to view all the pictures and can become bored if he or she has to change the category, on the contrary if he or she prefers to choose a particular category he or she can do it

Plus when a categorized picture disappear from the main album page in the recent uploads it has to be searched in its category which can be very nested, so with this new category it is shown in a simple by date order with all other pictures.

I personally made a little change in the "series" album preventing to upload pictures in the subcategories of this one, it is due to the fact that the subcategories appears in the list when one want to upload a picture messing up this list (it appears too much long) so I think that it can be the right compromise, the user can upload his or her picture in the "series" main album, after this he can edit the picture and move it or a moderator/admin will do it.

Actually I'm working on the upgraded version of the software of the album, that hopefully will solve the problems we have, like the famous "cookies" thing. I've to say that it's a hard work of adaptation and it will take me a long time but sooner or later (I want to finish the work before our anniversary   ) it will be done  :thumb:

I like the next and previous images list on the pages viewing a a single picture.  It will make it easier for us to get up to date in view the gallery.  :thumb: I am way behind in the gallery viewing again.

Another change is that the individual galleries for MBotW participants are going away.  Upload your MBotW pictures to the main MBotW gallery instead.  Once the existing pictures have been moved out of those inidvidual galleries, those empty galleries will be removed.

This is because of the popularity of the project, the number of MBotW galleries have grown to the point where they have become a problem for viewing all the MBotW pictures and scrolling past those galleries when uploading a new picture.

I think it's a good change, one can watch all the author's pictures in his or her personal album.  :thumb:

Thank you pangor... I never looked the moderator panel in the album (the Admin button appears to moderators too) however I think that the moving can be done in that way.
