well, there is a registry entry to clear the swapfile on shutdown. doesn't it stand to reason there would be one as to where it is located?

here it is...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory Management
change the location of the key 'pagingfiles' with the min and max values to your mapped drive and that should do it....

of course, that would limit the speeds it would read at to whatever the speed of your network card...
which is probably alot slower then the bus on your system board.....
