Post Downloading Problems

I am having the same problems that Bunnie[?] seemed to have in a recent post. I tried 2 files 3-times and was charged off for them but ended up with 0-byte files. I tried both right-click save as and left click on the icon...same results. I just recently upgraded to Netscape 7 and hope this is not going to be a problem with future d/ls.
Did I forget to say: HELP!?

I looked at your Download Profile and you have only downloaded 43K againt your 2MB limit.
It may be due to using Netscape as you have mentioned.

We will see what we can do to solve the problem.

Thanks for your fast response. I tried a 4th d/l of a file and it said the file was too large to fit into what was left of my alloted d/ls limit...but I had not actually d/ld anything. Strange thing, this computing stuff! I am going to try again  later with my secondary browser [NeoPlanet].

Hi Mondojake,  I tried with Netscape, and you're right, it doesn't work. This site is 100% Internet Explorer compatible only, you can see what I've done only with this browser, but I thought that all features would work anyway (You can't see only scrolls and cosmetics things). So I've 2 solutions:

- Wait until I will install a new upload/download page (I'm working on it)
- Contact me at with the list of stuff you want and I'll send them to you asap.

I will restore your download account now.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Bye

[color=#1200ff:0f2000e8f5]P.S.

... Anyway I promise to look at the code of the downloads page, I want to keep it because it is integrated with the forum database and has a confortable way for having control of downloads and bandwidth usage (and a great anti-leech features   ). We have 3gb bandwidth per month, so I had to limit the download capabilities to 2mb/month per user (every 1st day of the month it will be resetted to 2mb   ). In case the site will grow too much I will buy more space/bandwidth. Due to anti-leech, it's not possible to use programs like getright (I'm very sorry), but the files' size are small (If we will have big file, i will split them).

Bye[/color:0f2000e8f5]

Tormentor, sorry I haven't been able to get back here to respond sooner...been busy with other projects.  My board only shows I have 49kb of d/l left and all d/ls except 2 are in the 'red zone'. If I could get my d/l limit reset I would try on my backup browser which is NeoPlanet. NP has an Internet Explorer like interface which I normally use on sites that are IE only-friendly when I know about it. It works on these sites about 98% without all the IE 404 errors and pages not found problems.
I would like to try this b4 I bother you with emailing me the files...if it works maybe there are some other disheartened MS users who would like to know about NeoPlanet.

You could also put the files on a Yahoo group or on Superdrive

Yahoo Groups have a daily download limit, but the files are small.

Hey Gang...you Gals and Guy are okay! I finally made it back over here to find my d/l account reset and tried d/lding with NeoPlanet....100% success!
http://www.neoplanet.com/  is the URL for anyone else who is disheartened with IE. I know a lot of people swear by it, but in the 3 years I have used NeoPlanet as my IE-friendly-only backup browser, I have never had it crash on me, and receive far fewer Error404s and Page Not Founds. [And it is free!]
