Post Carrara 5 Pro

#1  Chromium 28 Jan 2011 16:42

Just wanted to share a tip for the bargain hunters amongst us.

Recently I have been trying to get my set up, up to speed from completely free Daz (which I still have, and am most grateful for).

Afer some reading up, an aquisition I have found for a bargain, is Carrara 5 Pro (think it goes well with my Poser 6).

I have two sources to share, both are as magazine cover DVDs.

1) Computer Shopper, February 2009, Issue 252. (Carrara 5.1 Pro)
2) PC Advisor, March 2009, Issue 164. (Carrara 5 Pro)

Both are full commercial offerings, with serials (you have to find them, and they are on the cover DVD), you will find also a little bonus content with each.

These would be one of those lucky finds, that pop up on ebay UK.

Good luck, hunting.

Edit: Sorry if not posted in the correct section.

I have Carrara 7 Pro which in my mind works better on the render than Poser. But if you are not sure about Carrara then don what you want in Poser, then save the Poser file and open it up in Carrara. Render it and it seems to do better on model renders. The smoother seems to be a lot better.

it will be difficult to find them here in Italy

BTW, I think that the post can stay in the forum if we consider Carrara an essential tool, anyway be careful with commercial offers Chromium, here on PF we like so much freeware that we don't advertise almost anything else, except if it is strictly needed for our hobby ...
