I find it odd that the person complaining happens to have joined Jan.16 (today), the same day it was posted.
How would that person know that the picture was even there, posted by you ?
That's what I find odd.

Perhaps someone on the forum know about her and notified her.. or maybe she's been a forum/gallery lurker untill someone 'ripped off' her work

Well I agree with you Ken, I think she was a bit petty about it as well. I also think she should have first pm you about it before taking it to the gallery. I don't know all the laws about this kind of stuff but I feel if I post a picture of one of my kids out on the net and someone wants to make an art picture using it, as long as they don't say that it's their picture they used to make it, I'm not going to have a bit of trouble if I run across it on the net. But of course that's just me. I think she should have been happy that someone thought her picture and her daughter were so nice to use like that. Again my on opinion.
Anyways, you will find there are a lot of people in this world who are petty and a lot who are wonderful, it's just a matter of what day of the week it is lol

Take care and feel better, you know who your friends are

Oh, and that wasn't the "drugs" talking by the way

The picture is still her property and she can either say yes you can or no
you can't use it.
It might me a good idea to ask in future and avoid problems.
There has been much heated debate about copyright violations in the various forums.
Best to delete the image. You can't win this one and let it go.

Well, the picture is deleted, I have apologised to her, and I've learnt my lesson.
Yes I should have asked first, but I still think she acted petty.
I find it sad really. She has a beautiful daughter, and all I wanted was to portrait that further with one of my manipulations..

(btw, all the candies seems to have been reset to zero. Don't tell me I spendt all that time on the damn slot machine for no reason)

I posted a comment on PP about this, I wonder if Andy Warhol asked the permission to marylin Monroe  :|  . In any cases someone told the author of the photograph about you....

I no Im a little new around here and some of you don't know me that well but what I gather in this
because the topic is not in the forum anymore, but is it to my understanding you have done a picture
of someone and they are giving you static about it?Something about copyrights. While we are on that
subject when will the days reverse gears to a more simpler time when sombody just wanted to share
a bit of them just to be friendly.

Oh, it's simple:

Deviant Viking had stolen a photograph of a children that has been posted on Renderosity, than modified it a little, posted it again and said that she was his daughter, than went in here crying and searching support. The Admins of those sites where he posted the picture deleted the whole tread and sued him.

tda42, don't worry about to be "new" , there are no snobs here (they don't feel "comfortable" in this place...) and you're welcome   ... You've only to stand our dirty jokes

Actually, Tormentor is behind it all and I'm just taking the fall for him for a generous sum of money
