Post To destroy years of work

I formated my computer yesterday, and had prior to that looked carefully over the computer for stuff to back up.
I figured I had everything, bookmarks, random files, Poser runtime, everything looked ok. And I formated.

Just now, I opened Poser to work on a pic, and went for the folder I store all my Poser savefiles.
I then realised it wasn't there.
I'd forgot to back it up.

That was 4-5 years worth of work, carefully zipped and backed up, categorized and organized.
And now it's all gone.

I just wanna curl up in a corner now

That's too bad to hear           .... The only way you have now is to try one of those recovery utilities, if you've not writtne over the old data you can try to save something. I think Landman is the expert... I couldn't even think of loosing my Posy's wokrs       ... Now I know why you were not in your bad at 2 a.m. ...

Well, to wipe a hard drive to the United States Department of Defense standards, they have to write the zeros ot the hard disk making seven unique passes to destroy every bit of data saved there. I'm sure that you can probably find some undelete software somewhere and manage to salvage most of if not all of it. I can research it for you and see what the best method is if you want DV, its up to you. I'm here to help in any way I can. Course I live closer to Guilty Pleasures then any of the rest of you, so SHE can help too dangit!!!!

Let me know if you need anything.....

And best of luck to you

I've been running a disc recovery program all night in hopes of saving something, but I've only managed to restore old, unfinished, scrapped and useless files.
It's gone

Have you lost Pz3s or your characters too ? In the first case, I've a backup of all my pz3 but never used them again...

Luckily, I remembered to backup my libraries, so I got the majority of my characters saved there.
Still, there's alot of stuff lost. Scenes, compositions, unfinished stuff, and saves that has in one way or another been important to me.
It's been a kick to the face
