How can I examine an *.CR2 file?     Maybe using some text editor? The only thing I like in V3 is the mesh and the texture maps. By the way, is there Posette remapped to take V3 textures ? I have a lot of V3 textures... somewhere. (I downloaded them because I think they were V2 textures.   ) V3 has a million face polygons , so it'll be easy to make some morphs. I think people who made V3 are very good modelers. Well , people who made Posette are excellent modelers , but I can't make a figure like V3.

Certainly, Posy, you and Betty and the rest of your relatives can beat Viki out of the box any day.

There are some CR2 editing utilities, one of the main ones is called CR2Edit, there is an older version that that is availble for download.  Try searching Renderosity's for "CR2" and "edit".  Then as you say, you can use a text editor, since CR2, HR2, PP2, etc are text files.  Poser accepts textfiles with both CR/LF (Dos/Windows) and CR (Mac) line terminations so any method you use may have to take into account the different line terminations that you may encounter.  (I have not tried unix new line terminations yet.)

I have found a remapping of Posette to take Victoria textures and the reverse as well.  But that was for V1 and V2, not V3.  Since V3 is a unimesh model her native texture maps are not compatible with the way that V1 and V2 are mapped.  There may be a Posette remap for unimesh trextures; however, so far I have not found it.

They are the same people more or less.  Metacreations, who owned Poser when Poser 4 was first release and contracted with Zygote to make the P4 models.  Zygote also make V1 and M1.  Zygote, then spun off their department that had  produced those models.  That spin off became DAZ.

Hi all
A good text editor is the most important tool on every PC

The one, I use is called Proton and is an open source Project
It has advanced search and replace and you can choose the way of line termination (win, mac, unix)
It´s at: http://www.meybohm.de/

another good one with the additional option of file comparison (very helpful)
at: http://www.pspad.com/

both freeware, of course

Thanks ahjah.

I have never found any that I felt comfortable with under Windows.  Currently my two favorite text editors are joe and vi with pico bringing up the rear.  But I and not too sure about the versions of those editors that have been ported to Windows, and I don't use Windows enough for anything other than games and art to make it practicle to overlay Windows with unix compatibility code.

Thank You.

By the way, does somebody know where can I download the V3 low poly mesh? I couldn't find it on the DAZ website, but it looks good.

The low poly version of V3 is provided for free as a part of the base contents for DAZ Studio, but it is in Studio's format and can not be used with Poser.  For the remainder of this year, the full resolution base version of both V3 and M3 are available from DAZ as almost free downloads.  They are free but rather being included on the free downloads page, they are in their regular store pages listed at full price with a 100% discount.  Therefore, you would have to go through the purchase process.  For download, yor total cost will be zero, if you want them to ship you a copy on CD, then their normal shipping fees will be charged.  Without purchasing several addon packages, the full versions of V3 and M3 are not a useful as the reduced resolution versions.

If anyone knows of a link for a legal, free download of V3RR useable in Poser, I also would appreciate the information.

That is strange because I am using All V3 and M3s in Poser 4 and 5 and they work perfectly.
