Post Serendipity

Um, seems a bit daring to start a thread of my own, but I spend far too much time googling, and often stumble across useful sites...

FWIW, EP Morris aka JoatMon seems to have dropped out of Poser. Old home-site's gone 404...
---

But, here's a gem, trapped in amber since 2002...
http://jmlirochon.free.fr/index.html

There's several pretty texture / trans maps for standard Posette clothes, plus some that may be for 'Eve'.
---

Another mega-list, with some unfamiliar sites, but dated 2005 so usual quota are 404.

Post A Funny Thing...

I was searching for more conforming gloves & boots for Posette when Google found an old thread *here* on PosetteForEver. Answer to that query was 'Animotions'.

http://www.animotions.com/index.php

So, I downloaded 35 Mb of assorted costumes. Some unzipped as PZ3 scenes, hybrid or 'all in one' figures, so can wait. When I found bundled clothing, I installed it...

I've now worked through the P4F clothing. Few items 'truly' conformed to default Posette, though one a pretty item by Joat Mon. Of the others-- Well, IMHO, two pair of flat boots managed fairly well, looked okay from above. Several pair of 'heels' may improve if I tug some vertices...

Both pair of gloves were 'hide arm to prevent poke-through'...

Yep, this is way I prefer dynamic dressing, for the shoes (like hairs) you can even make models made for other character fit to Posette...

Post Struggling With Anim8tor...

Um, I gave up on wings3D, liked look&feel of Anim8tor. Now, d'uh, there's something *weird* about the import/export...

Post Re: Serendipity

I had a wander through the PoserNightmare database, looking for p4f links.
http://www.posernightmare.com/

Al's place has Naomi for P4 and a bunch of P3 characters and Multipla 1.0 penta-morph missy.

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Circuit/6480/

Sligtly weird BadCo has some odd morphs for Posette & Dork, including forked-tongue & lip-licking.

http://www.badco3d.com/

Cresswells still has cache of '00 stuff, including several clothing textures & transmaps for P4 basics.
http://cresswells.com/graphics/

Confusius claims to have fixed the site links. Ultramorph figures for P3 & P4, plus basic outfits.

Creed3d seems to have gone, site is place-holder for internet auction...

Dragon3d has a few freebies, but their P4Ninja (baggy black pajamas etc) has lost his link. I've e-mailed them to find if dormant or dead...
http://membres.lycos.fr/dragon3dsystem/

Art4Freaks has a bunch of ethnic-ish P4F faces & textures I don't remember seeing elsewhere. Unfortunately, their files have gone 404, so I've emailed to ask...

Oops, is that the time ? Gotta go...

Post These Boots Conform...

Much to my surprise, my original Poser4 installation from 2003/4, now a clone on D: drive, works just fine as-is...

I spent some time working through the chaotic libraries, found Taruru's two Fighter Costumes for Posette. Many of the other 'taruru' items need Posette tapering, tweaking, morphing in some way, but both of these conform as they stand.

Handily, they have some very nice high-leg, full-conforming boots, which save a lot of grief with show-throughs and 'hide feet' on Animotion and other costumes.

Unfortunately, the #2 costume boots have ugly ankle guards. I had a Carrara #5 off Feb 3D World cover-disk, managed to 'Maz-scaler the obj, select and delete the armour sections, re-scale and place in Geometries ready for 'clone' CR2, pointers tweaked with CR2 Edit. It worked !!

I'm still a long way from assembling my story's characters' costumes, but this is a useful start.

Anyway, here's an original thumbnail from those taruru costumes in case you've seen their URL...

Thank you for the links Nik , yes, it's a sha,e that they have not placed and saved their files somewhere else before closing, it's very selfish ...

Post Serendipity & Cyobitlab

http://poserpspvrienden.goedbegin.nl/

A lot of links neatly cross-referenced to different Poser characters. Sadly, some have dropped out since it was updated.

And, yes, there's only a couple of entries for Posette, with nothing new...
---

D'uh, and here's Cyobitlab, large as life...

http://cyobitlab.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

I'll post the modified boots' OBJ encoded as PCF with Objaction Mover, to comply with copyright.
