instead of raising highlights to as high as 40% (colour-white) instead use this tip

Glossy at Alt Diffuse node
spec colour (base colour of texture)
KS 0.59
roughness .27
sharpness .02

for kinda heavier satin -

Phong
KS 1
roughness 0.51
sharpness 0.1

for dark clothes

Alt diffuse

glossy (base colour white)
Ks .47
rough 0.45
sharp .51

oh, before I kick myself, I made those nodes and connected them to 'Alternate Diffuse'. before this, I applied a lot of highlights, and I get 'plastic wrap' effect.(yep, i looove doing transmaps).
