Subject: Tdac June 2004 Artist of the month !
:bigrinnin: Ok friends, while Kenny Tda42 is finding his karma with Bubba ( :x ) in a prison of a southern state of the U.S.A. I post here the already made interview with the June artist of the month: Tdac.

Thilda lives in Sweden, which is a place far from here in the north direction, all I know of swedish people is that all the girls are blonde :prrr: and that they run naked in the snow after a sauna :prrr: :prrr: :prrr: , so I think that Sweden should be a good place to live :bigrinnin: ...

Now, the interview, made by Tda42

Congratulations You Are Artist Of The Month here at Posetteforever.

1.Tell us a little about yourself...personal background, family, etc. What ever you are comfortable with.

I live in Sweden, in a city by the sea. Ever since i was little i 've been fashinated by the sea and the fishes and animals who live there. I'm a student in marin biology. I'm also a big animals lover and have two dogs (golden retrivers) called Nefriti and Lizzie.
I enjoy reading, at the moment books by Elizabeth George and Danuta Reah. I also like to write short stories. Other interests are friends, music and movies. I don't prefer a certain genre. A good song is a good song and a good story is a good story whatever the genre. At the moment i'm into asian horror movies, i like the wayt they tell a story. Asian movie recomendations: The eye and phone and the ring movies.

2.How long have you been working with digital art, 3D and/or Poser?

3 years.

3.What got you interested in digital art?
What originally got me interested in 3d was a program called house, that i got through a magazine 4 years ago. In the program you build and furniture houses. You arrange scenes/build from a bird's eye perspective and thenyou enter the scene with a camera and render. It's very easy and basic, but i enjoyed it.
I heard of Poser through a friend and downloaded the demo from CL, it sucked you can't do anything. The images that i saw that were done in Poser was what convinced me to buy it, that was about 3 years ago i think.

4.What excites you about 3D and/or Poser?
I've always been drawing and painting. I never seemed to be able to put down on paper the image that I had in my head, with Poser i come closer to that image.

5.Do you have formal training or are you self taught?

I'm selftought. I did the the manual, but mostly i have played around and learned what works.

6.Where do you find your inspiration/ideas?

A combination of my imagination, my father's stories and swedish mythology and folklore. When i was little my dad would tell me stories. He from when he was a boy. He claimed to personally know all the figures from swedish mythology and folklore. He is a great storyteller and when i was little i believed every word of his stories.

7.What is your prefered environment for creating your art? Surrounding noises, time of day, etc.

When i use Poser i will often also be online, in one or more windows, have solitaire open and sometimes PSP. Sometimes i watch tv too, but mostly it's just on in the background.

8.Do you listen to music while you create? If so what kind or who?

I never listen to music while using Poser. I get caught up in the music and can't concentrate : )

9.What do you consider your artistic strength?

Hard question.....I'm not sure. I'm creative with coming up with solutions to achieve what i want out of Poser. I create my own characters and try to use props in sush a way thast it's stays true to the image i have in my mind.

10.What do you consider your personal strength?

My faith - i'm christian. I'm me and that seems to work.

11.Do you consider yourself an artist or a hobbist when it comes to digital art?

I think of myself as a hobby artist. Hobby because i do this for my own personal enjoyment and not for someone else and also i don't do this for a living. Artist because i am one.

12.Do you have other hobbies or special interests?

I also enjoy, friends, reading (my record is 67 books in one week), writing short stories, my doggies and movies.

13.What is your proudest artistic achievement?

Actually that changes. It used to be the first character where i had created everything from morphs to all the textures myself. Now i'm mosat proud of an image called prayer ( it's in the gallery here).

14.What is your proudest personal achievement?

Hard to say, i have several. My latest personal achivement is going back to the university. Four years ago i got very sick and had to leave. This fall i went back, it has been hard but i'm doing it.

15.Who is your favorite artist?
Don't have one when it comes to 3d. I like the works of a swedish painter called John Bauer, i also like the works of William Bouguereau.

16.What is your favorite artistic style?

When i create images i prefer fantasy. When i look at others works i enjoy everything.

-------------------------------------------
I would again like to say it is a pleasure to have you as Posetteforever Artist Of The Month.

Tormie, i think you're referring to winter bathing. During the winter some people (far from all!) make a hole in the ice of alake or the sea and take a bath, then use the sauna to get warm again. I have never done any winter bathing myself, but i have friends who do - they say it feels great. 8-[ But saunas are nice:)
