Hi. It's been awhile. I was inspired to tackle a morph for Dork too.
I am using Blacksmith3D. The face I have so far has elements from three different sources: Dorks default face, Dorks face with adjusted proportions to get them closer to the ideal, and a dash of a celebrity to give some personality to the new face.
There are still some problem areas to fix, but this is what I have so far:
I'm totally open for feedback. ^^

Hi. Thanks. ^^
I enjoy making characters the most, it's what I spend 80-90% of my time doing. bB |

BTW, Did you get rid of Dork's weird UV stretching at the outer corner of his right brow?
Almost looks as if from the prewiew  |

The outer corner of his brow is a problem! I tried very hard to fix it, and keep the brow intact.
However, when I'm done with the morph, I will make a 2nd version that smoothes out the brows. bB |

I'm curious for the result.
I've never worked with Blacksmith3D, only know the free characters he offers at his site. They look great. I create my morphs with ZBrush and a freeware application, Morph Master by codetwister Last edited by ahjah on 25 Apr 2007 02:07; edited 1 time in total |

Zbrush is expensive, Blacksmith is more affordable, and it does a great job with morphs. However, Zbrush does a lot more than Blacksmith. One day, I'll cross over, but for now, I am happy. ^^
I had a free version of code twister's program, but since I'm on a Mac, it was very hard to use in Virtual PC. You can do morphs in other 3d programs, but a program that's designed for it does a much better job. I love having selection groups, and selections by group, object, or material. I really miss that abilty in other 3d programs. bB |

One what? You really do? What do you miss most about that abilty in other 3d programs ?

Hexagon for instance, does not have selection by materials. You can do groups, but not materials.
--edit: just learned you can select by materials in Hexagon-- bB Last edited by BastBlack on 30 Apr 2007 06:12; edited 1 time in total |
