That's weird..... I wrote DarkWhisper an im earlier, i wanted to know the rules for sharing a cr2 for sara2. I was told that Darkwhisper sold sara to daz (he/she thought it was ok to share a cr2 for sara 2 btw - i had to ask since i know nothing about copyrights).

Hey Peebs...
There isn't anything that you can do about the decision.
There is no point in getting worked up over something that you have absolutely no
control over.
You will have to accept what has transpired and accept it.
Sorry, kid... but that's the way it is.
Sara was a failure because nobody really knew how to use her.
Pardon my french, but, screw these people who play dress up dolly.
They ruined a perfectly good character and dozens of others.
Too many "artists" and I use the term loosely, have no clue what to do with
anything, because they are plain and simple... not artists. Making pictures can be done by anyone.
Pushing a mouse around and using a piece of software doesn't make you an artist.
Artists have visions. Software users, don't...
I intend to use Sara in my online comix and she is more than welcome as another
"abandoned character" in my group of characters...
Davide:
pbnj uses Sara, while we use our P4's.
You can't expect someone to change over for that reason.

The unfortunate commercial realities of 3D!
It's funny, I suppose, but we out here in user land can get so attached to our characters and creations that we forget that there is, for the most part, a business behind it.
But when someone makes promises, though, in relation to on going support of a product, then fails to back that up to loyal buyers... or pulls the plug that's just plain bad form and bad business!
Hopefully there are enough Saras out in Poserdom that some will keep on with freebies and some new gear for her.

It is sad! I like Sara and made some works with her. She is my second favorite female character base. She is far more versatile and easy to pose than DAZ Vicky! Sorry pbnj! As Ozzie I hope that we can find freebies and some new gear for her!

Yes tdac her CR2 is fine to distribute I have shared it and the one for her hair for several items with morphs.
I don't care if they support her, I'm still going to make things for her. And indeed I foget it's nothing but a business to them. So I'm a Dork, so I get attached to 1's and 0's. I'm still mad, I'd like to say some notice at least would have been nice, but I still would have been pissed at his excuses.
Fine he doesn't like her, fine he's not paying attention to the fact that there are a growing number of Sara fans... but why pull her all together? Is she really that much a threat to Staci and/or girl?
p.s. I've linked the new Sara character in the downloads section.

Bummer..but why not use Mayadoll or AnimeDoll instead? I confess to still liking Posy more than any other figure I never tried using Sara, although I did download her and some stuff for her. Nil desperandum..don't let the bastiches get you down, make your own stuff for Sara and to the Daz corps

my sentiments exactly paul mon. i've calmed down a bit since last night and posting this. AND it looks like fickle DAZ and DW are considering a different option to completely getting rid of her. they are backing down after all the complaints voiced by sara fans (and hey mine were MUCH nicer over on their site then it was here, and you don't even wanna read what I put in my DA journal, heh, it'd make a sailor blush.)
and don't get me wrong the mayadoll is lovely and i want to do some work with her too (later on), but sara has really taken hold of my heart strings, heh.

It's funny how we can get attached to virtual figures. You'd think that Daz and the like would have realised that. After all they were once just humble artists like us

exactly right! i understand they are a company trying to make money, but you don't do that by doing things like this. customer loyalty is how companies stay in business.

I knew that Sara wasn't going to be succesful.
There was an initial interest, but that died out fairly fast
once the other toon types emerged.
The toon thing was more like a fad for just about everyone, except for me
and a few others.
I will still use my Sara with the mohawk.
As far as Mayadoll is concerned, I have no plans to use the character.
The body shape is weird.
Everybody uses Vicky and I am sick of seeing that "d-bag ho" ...
