Today we celebrate our special anniversary :D

Posetteforever is 6 years old :binky2:

So Tormie is going to write some words in his spaghetti-english ( :sleeping: )

Well, in 6 years everything has changed around us and the site has changed with it.

I created it in order to have a place where people could talk and show their art without being pushed by the commercial side of our hobby, I mean, everywhere I was into, it was all based on the store and the marketplace and how good was the new 3d human model that was kicked out on an almost monthly basis, and all of this costed a lot of money.

And everywhere, new sites came out like Posetteforever did, no stores and no banners, but then, little by little, every time you could see that ads time began soon after, the excuse is always the same: the site costs a lot of money, it is for helping paying the bills etc.

Well, obvioulsy it is only a very big lie :prrr: . I discovered that owning a site is cheap and that everyone can afford it, even a large one, with a normal job like mine (if you don't know it, I'm a bus driver :tormie: ) the rest are only money gained that jumps in your pockets.

And, above all, still now, after 6 years since our opening, there is not a really new technology for 3d human figures: all the new dazzling Victoriae and Michaels and the rest are made in the same way that they were done 10 years ago, they only added more polygons and they made textures that are non compatible with the previous versions, so you've to throw in the trash bin the old ones that you purchased and you're pushed to buy the new ones, or you're out of the clan.

I still use Posette :heartbeat: for my pictures, with a little work she doesn't look so bad and everyone can do it, we've an album that demonstrate it, and if you look at it you can see pictures that are very unusual and beautiful, no one else has an album like our one :thumb:

People come and go, some friends have left us :sad: some other ones came in and enjoyed the party :dance: . There is something special in this place: sometimes I feel depressed, I see no people around and I start thinking that it was all a waste of time, but then I start thinking at my life without this little place to check every day and simply, I can't live without it :crying: , it is a part of my life :hug2: .

Here I found a lot of true friends :friends: :hugs: that are living all around the world, and I learnt that they are like me, with problems that are maybe bigger than mines . Sometimes, having met in this place meant for someone to have found a solution to a problem, simply talking to someone else, and this is one of the reasons why the site deserves to live forever :D

So, coming back on topic ( :tired: ok, ok, I know it :roll: )

As usual we'll open a special category in the album , the theme this year and as usual, is the number "6" and all about our anniversary :yeah:

there will be also special GIFTS :shocked!: , Kenny is working hard for a BIG ONE :D

My friends, thank you for being the heart of Posetteforever :hug2: , I can only promise to do all that I can do to keep the site alive and kicking for the years to come :D !!

Brings tears to my eyes. :crying: I don't think I have heard you
so open. Yes, this place still has a light on the front porch for
anyone wanting to be a part of a small bunch. Yes people come and go
but then they are always welcome back here. For those friends who
feel they have been away for so lon and feel they don't have a
place here couldn't be any more wrong. We miss the ones that
have gone but we understand that changes in life demand it. I have been here
for over 5 years. It is home. A lot have other places that they stay. That is fine.
But remember your all welcome here too. Some people ask if this is a place
that has Posettes why do we have V1 2 3 4 and all the rest here too. We never said
you couldn't They all have there place for something. But you can't help looking
at Posette and without saying there is something special about the girl. We have
proved that here time and time again. So I say Happy Birthday PosetteForever. May
you have many many more.

We've this great Alphafigure package here from VK, it should contains numbers too :D ... No artists made a standalone "6" this year :crying: ...

Congratulations Tormie. In my short time here I have found Posette Forever to be one of the friendliest places I've ever encountered on the internet, and I think that's your true achievement in building this place. While it's true that as the little tags say that Posette is the best 3d model ever made, that's not enough to explain the site continuing on all this time. It's your kindly devotion and hard work that make this a place people will still seek out for a long time into the future.
