I've found that to do well with any figure you really need to have a passion for that figure,

Jan, about her costume- all I did was paint her P4 texture map green and purple, using a very old program called Arc Camera Studio that came with a digital camera I bought in 1998. I know nothing about UV mapping, so there was a bit of trial and error, espercialy to get the bandaids on the right part of her head. Initially I was gong to use the P4 catsuit, but I couldn't get it to fit her waifish, borderline anorexic body (she's terminally ill...) even when I made most of her body parts invisible to keep them from showing through. After rendering, I have to smooth over her nipples and do a few other adjustments. And that necklace is just a torus from the P4 primitives folder. Until a few weeks ago I didn't even know you could reparent a prop to get it to follow a body part and I had to manually move it around every time I moved her. Duh!
