Well I thought the black background was enough. But! When I seen this I thought she has a way with colors. You make this work and I must say it is very interesting that this character has exploded out of a background and is put in this environment and it is better than before. I would think you do decorating or something like that as a job. If not, then you should. The art is of nature that shows the lady and the pose as if to say with her expression of welcome or a husband home from a tired day. It is warm and cozy. A loving look as if someone has been missed. Very nice.

Thank you both for noticing this! I wanted you to feel welcomed with this work. Annalise is a genteel and well bred lady of stature, always the epitomy of grace and well-spoken ways even if things were not well. Hospitality was paramount in a southern household. The parlor was where guests were greeted and asked for tea or a light lunch while one waited for the lord of the manor to return to deal with whatever business was at hand. The background itself was warm and inviting, and I could think of no better place for Annalise to welcome her guests! I am glad you all enjoyed this, I had a lot of fun doing it and it turned out much better than I expected it to! Thanks for viewing!

The perfect scene for this Grand Dame!!! _______________ It's not what you look like, when you're doing what you're doing; It's what you're doing, when you're doing what it looks like you're doing. |

Thank you Whazizname! Its good to see you on more, by the way. This one was a Posette also. You get the right look, hair, lights, backdrops and all the things that make a portrait like this stand out, there is no limit to what you can do with her! Again, thanks for viewing!

Perfect work, it all goes so well.
