Pic Description: Another cat-shelf up...

And three holes drilled ready for base of cleated ramp to patio canopy...

Two holes obvious, third is that red smudge to their left.

The smaller holes supported bench clamps (!!) which held plastic cutting boards against ivy-ravaged wall to stop my deep-pointing mix either oozing out, or being washed out by rain before it could set...

Good Job! It's always nice to accomplish needed tasks!

It's been a famous battle, M. I've had to rip out a lot of old render, so have pointed double my original estimate. Happily, most had shallower gaps than original arc of 'swallow to knuckles' ivy-ravaged canyons...

On fifth kilo bag of 'deep repair mix' when I'd thought two would suffice...

There's still some 'touch up' wall repairs to go, but I want to get the cat-ramp in place. After all, it has taken a year of iterative 'lateral thinking' plus much scouring of Amazon for the makings...

I'll be up the big step-ladder this afternoon, marking ramp for two splayed hooks to grab canopy's cantilever arms. Then I'll add cleats and side-walls, plus stabilising clips...

Hook onto cantilever arm, slide the base's two pad-bolts to engage with ramp-end's pair of pad-eyes, smile...

Aaargh ! I've just realised: I'll need to fit eg a removable peg to support base of ramp while I scramble down big step-ladder, then across to small step-ladder to engage pad-bolts...
Hmm...

I solved the 'measuring' problem by driving two temporary wood-screws into wall's plank. After marking and fitting cleats, sides and hooks to ramp, I was able to remove those two screws.

Down-side, fitting those cleats slightly twisted the ramp, such I had a fight engaging 'hinge' bolts.
Up-side, the ramp is now available for cat-prowls. Note rubber tap-washers as 'flexi-mounts'...

Cats being cats, Ms Bertie isn't the least interested, while Ms. Robbie sits on mid-wall shelf and just studies this latest apparation...

May show more interest if local pigeons land and strut on the canopy...
