Post Difference Between Latexa And Eve

Okay.. for various reasons we won't discuss, I enjoy anatomically correct figures... or close to.  Anywho...

I really like the Eve figure, I have version 3 of her and all is good.. except when bend her legs.  The thigh is segmented into 2 parts and even the slightest bend can start throwing the 2 out of sync with each other so that if she's in a sitting pose, the lower half is ~way~ off from the upper half.  Bending the upper half of the thigh also affects her vagoo and causes some very funky bends there.  Not a problem when clothed the rigth way but at other times.. ummm, yeah.

So then... Latexa.  Gorgeous model that has this problem fixed.  You can put her into extreme poses and no funky screw-ups on the thighs or vagoo.  The problem?  Her chest.  Both versions of Latexa have the chest segmented into THREE parts, making Posette morphs useless!

My question:  Is there a way to fix Eve, maybe by taking her obj into 3DS Max or Blender or something or by changing some settings?

Or maybe there's a figure out there that is a happy medium?

Hi Lickitung
I don't know much about all the Eves(there are so many, I'm getting confused with the versions) etc.
I don't like them too much, because they are not fully compatible with Posette's morphs (That's most important to me cos I made so many of them )
Personally. I prefere my posettes with Yamato's modified joints (JP converter ->: http://www.posetteforever.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1354 ). They work with stock Posette and make the legs bend so good, she even takes most of V4 poses without complaining too much. She bends better than all the Eves together. (I don't need an anatomically correct gen area, I use my imagination )
For more information about the Eves etc, you might ask Tormie directly. He's a specialist, his very own original real "Posy" is actually an Eve AFAIK...

I suggest using the Grouping Tool and make one group out of these three, that should fix that problem easily!

Hmmm, I'm actually thinking I may have solved my own problem..

Taking another look at the base Eve3 model, she bends fine without any of the problems I'm having... maybe cause I put morphs on them, my characters are bending wierd? I dunno.  I'll need to take another look. Maybe I grabbed a older Eve model by mistake for them.

Thanks for the stuff on the JP converter, I'll try it out sometime!  It'd be great to stop the joints from crinkling like tinfoil anytime a figure wants to workout.

Oh, and the later versions of Eve (Eve3)are compatible with Posette's morphs... mostly.  It's part of what I'm doing right now.  Because of the segmentation, the hip and thigh morphs aren't gonna help, but everything else does cause Eve is based on Posette (Head, neck, chest, abs, shoulders, arms, hands, calf, feet).  The earlier versions of Eve weren't too Posette morph friendly cause they had the full body segmented like the Latexas (2 segments for thighs and butt, a segment for the hip in a bikini-like shape, the Chest seperated into 3 parts and upper arms in 2 parts).

EDIT: Actually, I found out what happened. I had scaled the thigh segments and for some reason, the Zscale was causing the problem.  I set it back to default and all is well!!  Check out mah Texturing skillz >:3

(nice butts   ) Are you meaning Eve by Arduino or something else ? Is there an Eve 3 ? Can you give me the link ?

I use a mix between Eve 2 and nea P4 that i called Eveena

you can find her here and the instructions

http://www.posetteforever.com/dload.php?action=file&file_id=441

I've no big problems because usually I take dynamic dresses for Posy   if not for jackets that are more "rigid" but that I can more or less easily adapt to her

Here ya go Tormie, some excerpts from the readme for the Eve V3:

This is Rorschach's & Yarp's NewEve V3:
NOTICE:
New Eve is nothing more than torino's EvolutionEve without the top parts. Why did Yarp remove them ?
There are 2 mains reasons:
- Although torino made very good and clever job with is chest and collar links he doesn't consider it natural to
separate the chest in 2 pieces.
- There were too few chest morphs for this version and those available for P4 are so nice he prefered keeping them.
Version Credits:
    Original WWG Hip:     HellBorn
    1st Conversion:     NdYVO4
    2nd Conversion:        Steven Torino     (torino@myworldmail.com)
    3nd Conversion:        Yarp
        4nd Conversion:         Rorschach (rorschach@jet.es) and Yarp (lcrepiliere@free.fr)

Morphs Credits:

                                Steve Cox (stevecox@optonline.net) for UVMapper
Traveller (nimbus@telenet.net) for morph targets and standard Eve V3 conversion
Jaager (grau_albatross@hotmail.com) for the sample genitalia

I included the bits with the email addies they had in case you wanted to contact them. they Don't address redistribution in this Readme, so I won't post it, unless you think it's ok?

But yeah, I haven't tried your hybrid figure yet, but this one bends better than the 'WWG' figures and accepts most of the morphs for Posette, hip and thighs as the exception.  Can yours use the thigh morphs? :o  Here's some pics of what I've got done in the past few days. A female warrior and Halfling base figures for a Dungeons and Dragon's type project I'm working on.

I threw Dork in there purely for a size comparison.

Even without the thigh morphs, you get a nice look going.  And the follow pic, just for you Tormie, cause you seem to appreciate this view

She accepts most poses flawlessly.

Thanks Lickitung... Long time I'm not playing with Posette   ... I've to try those hybrids...

Yes, if it's not stated clearly redistribution is not legal , or we would have a bigger freebies page
