I sit on a desk, or ride with you in a car.
I grab internet connects out of thin air for free, and frequently at a speed of 80 Megs p second -download speed. Speaking of downloads I can download anything and everything and I never give a thought to any stupid virus, or worm, or any of that junk. I kill bugs on contact. You don't need a cell phone when you have me and there's never a bill.
I run Windows faster than any PC and there's no platform or operating system I can't run. I make 80% of the graphics on the internet and almost all the graphics you see that are printed commercially.
While i can make Windows or Vista fly they can't run me at all. I make doing any task -easy, and i don't need any drivers to use a strange Camera, or printer, or scanner.
If you delete the wrong file then want it back I can take you back in time, so the file is still there.
I made the dinosaurs in Jerasic Park, and stopped the Aliens in Independence Day.
I try to be friends with PC in commercials though he is kind of a Dork.
What am I- ?
I'm the parent of the iPhone
I announced proudly in 1984, that I would "change everything".
I am a Macintosh and I'll be ready for you
when you are finally ready for me.

Cool link Tormie; thanks.
I used to run a Windows emulator on one of my 68040 based Macs; but I didn't use it much, so I uninstalled it (now I don't use that computer much... heheh). Perhaps on my next Mac, I'll do Windows (just for the increase in available software...). (: |

IN answer to the inquiry
"what Kind of Mac - do you use?" Well there are 3 in the house my Wife primarily uses the new iMac Daughter uses duel intel MacBook and your's truely is still stuck using duel-boot G4 1.25 Gzh But it has a gig of memory and 4 internal drives giving a terobyte of disk space - and 2 big monitors. I can scan and print -12 x 18. IF ONLY I had Poser 6 or 7... :crying: Why do so many Keep using Poser 4 -when Poser 5 is free ? |

Kenny rushes up to bump Tormie aside.
I'll take this one Davide. *Ahem* Kenny takes the mic. :D Poser 4 is a great software of its time and still holding out on it's own. How ever! There is some problems with P5 and even though the interface was changed to make up the up coming P6 and P7, it was unstable. I have used P5 enough to say that it is scary how it crashes and freezes up due to very heavy use. Poser 6 was a more better choice while in my own opinion P7 is the best. Even more powerful than the last of its rivals. When DAZ gave Poser a run for the buck by giving a free software It was at that time P5 was showing some bugs and its own worries about a future. Not to mention it was DAZ's moment to give them a run for there money. P6 was just put out which I think sales where sluggish. So they started for a period of time giving out P5 for free. You had to register of course but it was a thing to deal with against the DAZ market. After that it wasn't for sale anymore. I think it was a 90 day thing but not for sure on that fact. Then after the Poser wars e-frontier bought all the rights and made it solely theirs. As of now the great thing to me is animation. The render seems a bit slower than on P5 as far as animation frames. :mmmh: Can't figure that one out. The only few things I would like to see is a cloning tool. A faster Render engine and When you conform things they all parent with the main character so when you use a foot that is invisible it is automatically moves without deforming. :thumb: As fare as Macs are concerned I almost bought one but the price was so high it scared me out of it. Now I have two Sony Vaio's running off of one monitor as on PC. 4gigs if memory in both. Both have 3 Sata 350 hard drives in RAD 5. Using Windows XP 2003 server OS to couple the two together. with Both having 3.6 P4s as the Processors. So my way of looking at it, power is not an option. :lmao: As for Poser 7. You have money in those MACs. I would suggest buying P7 when income tax time comes. Look at it as Christmas for adults. :lmao: I hope this helps you. :thumb: |

I agree with Kenny  Macs are great but the price is very high. With the same pile of money I would build myself a scary PC with its own gravity field...
