Hi;
I'm looking for some old cars; specificly: a Lincoln Continental Mark III, Mark IV, or Mark V. My idea might also work if the car was a 1969- 1973 Cadillac Eldorado.
Free would be best; but considering what I'm seeking, for pay will do too.
Has anyone seen one?
(:

Thanks Tormie!
{FYI: the model does not need to be "Poserized"; any obj, 3ds, dxf, lwo will be usable.} (: |

Did you say cars?
http://dmi.chez-alice.fr/models1.html Nice selection but no Lincolns or Cadillacs. Checked the rest of my resorces and all I could find was a Mercury, and a buick coupe. Might check here http://www.cg-cars.com/forum/forum.php |

Thanks Stanley.
I'm familiar with the link {Lots of cool car models there...}. What type of Buick coupe? I spent most of my "free time" yesterday seaching cgcars; but no luck there either. {That forum is a very humbling experience, due to the emmense talents that post there} Someone on another forum mentioned that a person screenamed "dudley" would be the most likely creator of this type of car; but also said that they seemed to have disappeared from the community. It looks like an late 70's Buicl LaSaber. I hope your program like 3ds more then Carrara, for some odd reason 3ds models always open blownup. here it is http://www.planit3d.com/source/meshes_files/autos/buick.htm
I had to convert to a .obj to get this and lost the textures. |

Oh yes, I have that model.
It is mis-named; I'm almost sure that is a Ford Gran Torino (mid to late '70s); that is the way I've named it in my archives. {My maternal Grandmother has always owned Buicks; and this is definately not one.} Thanks. :) (: Last edited by Whazizname on 03 Dec 2006 17:19; edited 1 time in total |

I haven't found anything yet either...
Someone pointed me to smcars.net; it is a "blueprints site". There are a lot of cars available there; but the majority are designed for use in games. I do not use the games that they are for; so I do not know how useful they are. There is a request posted there for a group of cars, including the ones I am seeking; so I will certainly return. ... the search continues. (: |

Whazizname you are quite right. The Buick I'm thinking of has much rounder back fenders and more slope to the back window.

That is a 1980s Chrysler product. A Dodge Diplomat, or Chrysler LeBaron, or ... I forget what the Plymouth version was called. {Though Grandma always had a Buick; I've always been a Mopar guy myself. "Mopar or No Car!"} (: |

As Chrysler cars go, these were not so big.
I thought about it a while, and then did a bit of resarch, and it seems that this model is a late 1970s Diplomat, or Le Baron. Here is a link that explains. It does not have a good picture of the exact model; but you'll get the idea. http://www.allpar.com/model/dodge-diplomat.html (: |
