It's strange :-k , I've here 2 (two) big dictonaries and the translation service at altavista, it can't be.

Subject:
I guess that's exactly what's the problem :
Especially the altavista one, that's only for emergencies

Wait...hold it right there....let's get back to this whip thing...
Can I whip someone? Please???? I have the need to whip!

Okay, that's out of my system....

Deviant I can understand Tormie just fine.. he's trying to tell you that if you have money you can have all the women you want, even if you have to buy them first lol
"Are you ethero ?"
I'm still trying to find out what "ethero" means, but I'm sure it can't be good [-X
"english it goes to blood"
Also Tormentor has a bloody accent or maybe he's a vampire?

Maybe we need to find a English for dummies book? (not saying who needs this book for fear of a major whipping) :lmao: :lmao:

Subject:
I can understand him fine most of the time, but occasionally he makes no sense at all : ::razz: (not that others don't make no sense at times)

Subject:
Mmmmh... Do you remember the beginning of that John Carpenter's movie , "The thing " ?

I'm thinking about it, deeply :bigrinnin: ....

Subject:
Hey I never make any sense, so it has nothing to do with language :bigrinnin:

I don't remember it tormentor, but I'm sure it's not going to be pleasent 8-[

I used to chat on IRC a lot (a few years back) and there was a guy in one of the channels I chatted in that was from I think Norway or somewhere close to that and in one of our conversations I said something about being a "fuddy-duddy" Well his english wasn't all that great at that time and he didn't understand what that term was. I had a heck of a time explaining what it means in english and trying to convey that meaning to what he would understand in his language. It got pretty funny. But then the thing to remember, I'm sure either one of you have expressions in your country that would be totally confusing to me. What I enjoy most about chatting on here as well as in IRC is being able to meet and talk with people from all over the world, learning things from them, getting to know them and seeing how we may be different in some ways, we're still all the same where it counts, In our hearts and souls :)
I only wish I could speak another language, I feel as though I really screwed up in school when I could have taken a course in one. Also in 47 years of life, I've never once been out of the USA, another sadness I regret.
Oh well, there's something to look forward to in my next life :)

I think my general english writing and grammar skills are superior to my norwegian ones.. yep, I've spendt that much time on the net, and on the net english is the main language.
Besides from norwegian and english, I've taken german and french classes (both with horrible results. I'll stick to norwegian or english thankyouverymuch).
Personaly, I think all countries should have english as the primary language, and whatever used to be the primary, secondary. That way, there wouldn't be any stupid language barriers :-k

Subject:
Ouch, in english it is "Hetero" (sexual), not ethero.
I intended to say that every time I try to explain better a phrase I wrote in my broken english I start a bloody spiral :bigrinnin: , a fight.

I've an "english for dummies book", but I'm tired to go to the train station, buy a ticket and go to Liverpool...

Subject:
Anyway, I agree with DV about english. I think it's easier to learn english if you live in a country nearer to england. I never seen a phrase in norvegian, but for example german and dutch are very similar (like italian and spanish, I can easily understand spanish even if I never studied it) and there are a lot of words in dutch that have the same root as english.

Anyway, I tried to study german for my fun and it was a nightmare (The teacher was a dream :heartbeat: ), "basic" english is easier.
