Post What's your screen resolution

#1  Tormie 14 Jun 2005 07:06

In order to fine-tune the layout of the site I need to know your screen resolution. You can even write here if you see Posetteforever correctly or not   !

My old monitor was 1280x1024, when it broke I started using this one that I had in reserve, it is 1024x768, hence my vote.  I still miss my other monitor and this feels cramped by comparison.

I don't see Posetteforever, quite the way it is suppoed to be.  Some pages are fine, others like the main portal page I need to scroll left and right to see the side bars, only one visible at a time, also I have to turn off the animation of the smilies or my my brower slows way down.  But thes are not a problems with the site, it is a problem with Mozilla, I have the same sitiuation on other site too.

When I use konqueror instead, both of those problems are gone and is much faster, but the scrolling text such as in the "Active Users" box does not scroll.  So I stay with Mozilla.

I am thinking of trying Firefox to see if it will be better behaved.

Both my video cards are maxed out at 1280 x 1024. I think my secondary is capable of going higher. I would have it higher if I could....

Mine can go as high as 1600x1200. But I don't max it out. 1024x768 is fine with me.

If I go any higher than 1024/768 I would have to glue my eyeballs to the monitor to see what it says. Old age and bad eyes ya know lol

For my workstation the card I am using also can go to 1600x1200, but my monitor is the limiting factor.  And on a bad day, my eyes.  GP, I think we are all in the same boat in that respect.

I'm watching the site at 1024x768 that is the most popular configuration and it seems to work fine   , maybe the logos at the top are a bit big but i think that it will be worse to make it smaller...
