Post Candy From The Fair

Hi Friends
Every end of November we Celebrate the Andreasmesse in our town. It's a big fair dedicated to St. Andrew.
I posted some pics I took in our galleries already, but I got some more. I don't want to get them ripped apart, because they tell kind of a story and are a bit like a stroll around...
I had some fun taking this pictures, so I'd like to share some of them and hope you get the mood

The fair is located all over the historical center of our town with booths selling sweets and a lot of stuff you'll never need together with some smaller children's rides, and in a separate place (actually a parking lot) where the really big carousels are located
I'll start with a view along the water  around the castle where the former Duke of Lippe (our county) used to reside. In the background to the right you can see the small ferris wheel I posted in the galleries...

The following pictures are from the parking lot mentioned above.
I like the colors and the dynamics of the motion here

Back to the town's center again, we pass the ferris wheel in front of our opera house once more.

I used to live in the street we're looking along on the left for about twenty years until  about a year ago.

At last I'm waiting at a pizza stand to get my annual filled pizza (It's a ritual to me ) It's no actual classic pizza.
It's similar to a calzone, but not baked in the oven, but in hot oil, typical "fair food".
The view is directed to the town's center.

I hope you liked this little walk through our town

P.S.: Some of the pics are difficult to view 'cause of the horizontal scroll bar, just click on them to view them in a new window

I would like to be there and eat some candies !

The "calzone" fried in oil in Italy is not a Pizza, it's called "panzerotto" , it's smaller and stuffed, I think it's the same thing because it exist only in North of Italy where I live, and we were under the Austro-Hungarian Empire for a long while... I would really like to taste the German version btw ...

Thank you for sharing the fair with us Andreas I hope you'll post more

Yes, it's called panzerotto. This is the only place and time of the year you can get it here
Be careful with candies, they'll let your hair grow looong

I have more pics, but this are the most spectacular. The other ones have too many recognizable faces of people...

Hi friends!
Now the fair is over. I didn't visit it once more, because I actually don't like it too much.
It's loud, overcrowded, and stinks (of Glühwein )
When I went to town today, almost everything was gone already.
They start cleaning it up in the night, so the streets get clear for monday morning traffic.
But here's a couple of shots anyway.

I hope you enjoyed the stroll with me

Very interesting Andreas, Sure you're good in using your camera   ... Here in Milan there is a famous place where they have the best "Panzerotti" in the world, it's a strange place, they come down from the kitchen from a hole in the ceiling, into a basket attached to a rope ! They are cold ousude and extremely hot inside   ... But they are good   ...
