One thing cashiers do
that is annoying

Okay, the VISA corporation who issue the VISA cards
does NOT want
for you to show your identification when you use your VISA Card.

This is because  cashiers can get your personal information
to go WITH your VISA information, and that's all they need
to steal from you.

The VISA Corporation fought this issue all the way to the
United States Supreme Court and
they WON.

The contract that every VISA merchant signs
states that   'they must and WILL  except,   the VISA Card  -alone.

When a merchant asks for your ID they are violating the contract
that they signed, AND a verdict by the U.S. Supreme Court.

You can read about it   -at VISA.com.

Yet  hundreds of merchants still do this and they LIE and tell you
"oh its FOR   your protection..."     No it isn't.

It's ILLEGAL.

But protest and you'll immeadiately be accused of trying to use
a stolden  VISA Card.

But there's a better way.  You can Call VISA  toll-free and report any merchant
who asked for your ID.  They'll first get a letter.  A second report after the letter
and a VISA Representative  --pays a VISIT.

If they ask HIM for his ID they loose their VISA merchant status,
and face legal action.
(more times than not   the business closes up)

That's interesting leahman, we have a local Goodwill here in town that asks me everytime I use my visa debit card for my drivers lic and I also have to put my phone number as well on the reciept they keep. Guess they need a visit from Visa too
Next time I go there I'll use my visa and when they ask for my drivers lic, I"ll tell them "I must have left it at home" and see what they do then lol
Thanks for this information, I had not heard of it and glad to know who to call next time
