Post The new album, your opinion

What I need is your opinion on the new album software that I installed the last week. The question is: keep it or come back to the old one ?

The main problem of the new album software is that it doesn't completely fit in the forum software, so sometimes one has to login again or has a series of problems that I tried to solve writing some tutorials or helping the user personally.

The old software is solid but it has not all the features of the new one.

I'll modify the new software to make it more stable, but for doing that task I need to learn a lot more about programming and the process will be slow.

So you decide, tell me your opinion please

For that functionality of the new software, I like it.  As for the stability and login problems, I have not experienced any problems with the new album at all.  Excpet....

Except for one silly error on my part.   The first picture I posted into the new albums I fould up and posted it twice.  At first, I didn't realize that posting the picture in the main album would also include it in my personal album, so I added my personal album as an additional catagory at the time of the posting.  Within aminute or so, I noticed that there was one entry for the picture in the main album but two of them in my personal album.  Not sure which copy was linked to the copy in the main album, I deleted all copies of the picture, and uploaded it again, this time the right way.  I certainly can not blame that mistake on the software.

The old style album worked fine, but lacks the features of the new, more up to date one that is in
use now.
The new album will take getting used to because it is quite different than the one we grew accustomed to.
As for problems, nobody can be blamed for the glitches and nobody can predict what sort of problems
one will have when new software, upgrades or changes are made.
These "problems" were more annoying than anything else.  It is not easy to solve a problem when
you don't know where to look for the problem after trying the help in the tutorials.
I tried all sorts of things before checking the "Remember me" box. The "problem" disappeared after
that.  Who knew it would be that or that the solution was staring me in the face all the time ?

For what it is worth, I would say that we stick with the new album because Davide has devoted a lot of
his free time to making it work.
He has had to figure things out on his own and that is not easy.  To abandon the new album does not
make sense to me.  It seems to be working now, and once we are all used to it, it should be as
easy to use as eating a piece of chocolate cake.

If you read this post, respond to it, either way, for or against.

Den says:   Stay with the new album !

New album =

I don't have had problems with the new album
To me it's not more difficult than the old, but the
functions include Keywords, number of thumbs/side
showing and so on are nice features,
also the personal album.
Finally it seems to be faster than the old album.

I turned back to my favorite "subsilver" style   ,
the album is still in "notebored", but it doesn't matter me.

I vote absolutely to the new album!

Though I`am "Krushed" with saddness, that there is not  a "Schicken" gallery added.
I would say the over all appeal of your changes are great!

So, I learned with that incident.

And by the way, I vote for the new album setup.

I don't see why the new album should be scrapped.
It works for me now

I agree with the rest of you, I think we should keep it and see how it works out. It's still new to some but I think everyone who uses it with time will find it's not all that hard to use. I myself haven't' had any problems with it, other than my own mistakes on my picture sizes and I've got that figured out now too

Den said it best, Davide put a lot of work and time into this for us and we should all give it time and see how well it works, if it becomes more of a headache to Davide in trying to fix problems or explain how to use it to people who are having problems with it  then maybe we can poll again on it. Until then I give it a big "thumbs up"

The new album are working fine with me. The new software is better than the old in my opinion.

I had some problems in locate the upload button in the beggining but I think that could be a problem with my computer! After I reinstalled the Windows can easylly  locate the button!
